Apparently they want to ban fighting in the NHL. The sport is screwed if they do

Isn't fighting and hockey two different sports?
Are you trying to combine them into one?

The two go hand in hand when it comes to Ice Hockey though! I think he's right, as that's one of the entertainment factors gone from the sport!

I remember those days.
sometimes the coach tells a
player to go out and get in a fight to spark
up a sluggish team.
It can make for a better game.
having said that..the days of the goon are
long gone, you have to have a lot more skills
to be a tough guy now a days.

Like fighting in soccer (football).
It's not within the rules but it still happens.

Yeah and if you do it at football ( soccer ) you get sent off! Happened to me on countless occasions when I play. Love it!

its not band in hockey its I penalty and since
penalties are a BIG part of the game, then so must me fighting, agreed?
Furthermore,there are rules in ice fighting and
around the fighters, such as; "The third man in rule"
If they both choose to fight,then they will BOTH serve
a 5 minute major in the box, which is like no penalty
in a sense.
Football/soccer: what I've seem most is
one player makes an assault and the one team
has to play a man short all game if he gets
Kicked Off????

just got into hockey myself! All the excitement was in the fighting and aggression from the players. No way I'm going to a game if they ban it!

That's the best part, like a freight train to a BMW if that other player gets in the way BAM!

Fighting is a small part of hockey that makes it entertaining!Sure they get penalized for it but if you ask me that's what they signed up for! So there!
