No, do not give your phone number unless you are pretty sure he/she is legit. Same goes for your email. You can also buy a burn phone (cheap phone) at any discount store. Hey, it works for the terrorist;) And set up a separate email account other than your regular one if you plan to communicate that way. Yahoo, gmail, outlook etc etc.

After reading some of these threads I am finding out just how Blessed I am to live in a 'no cell phone' zone.........they literally do not get reception where I live.

ONE time, a local person, 2 years ago. He turned out to be pushy, aggressive, rambling, needy, and many other adjectives. I said " I am going to hang up now". and did. He left 17 messages on my answering machine. I reported him to the phone company and have not given my number out since. ( might do a random thing with some i visit with on forums, but otherwise learned my lesson).

I have no problem exchanging numbers with a person but that's after I had a few conversations with them and determined all I needed and wanted to know to consider if I want to talk on the phone with them but if a person gives me their number without communicating with me I will delete and block them I'm the type of female that if I want to talk to a person on the phone I'll simple ask for their number so I can call them at that moment but if I dont ask for that person number I wont call nor respond

I believe you've misinterpreted my post, not to say I haven't given my number to a few with less than authentic interests.

I have given my number to a couple women on another site, none on this site. However I've been asked to text people, email people and contact them via different methods other than messaging via Mingle....and that is usually after exchanging one or two messages from people who obviously don't have an elementary school grasp of English.

I'm not suggesting that they might be scammers.....I'm suggesting those people probably aren't really the 20 something scantily clothed women pictured on the profile.
