To all the people whining about "income inequality".
I've got some news for you. News to awaken you back to reality. It's not called "income inequality". It's called capitalism. Without capitalism The USA would not be a world power nor would we have any of the opportunities that we have today. No one's going to be "equal" under capitalism but we all have an equal chance to work hard. If you don't want to be a capitalist and prosper through hard work along with everyone else, then have fun being poor and whining like a bunch of sorry victims. Just make sure to do everyone a favor and stop blaming everyone else for the mistakes that you've made throughout your life, such as having kids without a financial plan, and then complaining when there's consequences. It's not your employer's fault that you're not making enough money to support your family. It's yours. You don't have to take that minimum wage job. You're free to look elsewhere for higher paying work. It all comes down to your choices in the end. |

You would think all non-crazy adults would understand this concept as being true but many do not care, in any way, about the concept of self reliance. It's all about what they can get for doing nothing. There is nothing wrong with a TRUE safety net for the needy, but teenage mothers, lazy people, people just looking for a handout spoil the system. I saw an interesting commentary this weekend stating that the teen mother problem, with the crime, lack of education, and other problems it creates, may be enough to cause the breakdown of our system. |

It is no longer possible for average people to advance as done previously as the basis for advancement is less mobile as the top six percent have accessed more than a reasonable proportion of money and make advancement less financially viable. Profits for a millionaire are far too great compared with opportunity of those in a lower class. Upward mobility is not happening just as the price of a new car is over 30K and the terms are now stretched to 84 months a ludicrous financial contract. The middle class in america is bloated and will shrink as other countries labor can rise and diminish our ours while expanding theirs as labor is less expensive elsewhere and that is where costs are reduced and profits are enhanced...Systems reach a point and then are no longer viable and with a global work force its inevitable that our middle class is suffering and other countries will prevail....

To become successful from having nothing takes a tremendous amount of hard work and risk taking. Generally speaking. Most people I have ever spoken to are not willing to sacrifice and risk as much as those whom I've seen make it "big". MOST don't want, or feel comfortable with the responsibility involved. This is where income gaps are initially created. This is the fair, free market at work. Many (i will even say "most") times poverty does, in fact, stem from poor life choices and irresponsibility. Perhaps some just have not been shown the way.
But then there are those who are born into the life of big money. And there are a few (much fewer than the infamous 1%), that horde money like its air. Cutting positions and wages while simultaneously expecting more productivity, then writing the extra income into bonus checks for him/herself. I agree that this is an issue. |
