I have not, but my daughter met a guy online from New Zealand. He came to the states to visit then she went over there. They ended up getting married...that was 8 yrs. ago. They lived in N.Z. for 6 yrs. but have been residing in Austraila for the last 2 yrs.

I think I would find it very hard. I like to feel connected to the person I am in a relationship with. It is hard enough to maintain a relationship with people all over the country...forget about thousands of miles away...

You can be in the same room and feel completely alone.

Feeling connected while separated by distance is easy ... where does the energy of one begin and the other end? There is no real separation.

The relationship must be allowed to live in the real world too though if it is to be a romantic one. Physical interraction .. the everyday ...

I am not a fan of the 3000 miles or the 3 hour time difference or the different countries ... but for now it is what it is and we will enjoy it all ... embracing what we have and what we can share given the current limitations.

Time will evolve the circumstances.

My friendships with people in all parts of the world are no less real because of the lack of physical contact. While in conversation, I feel them in my room. It is a beautiful thing.
