People charged with the murders of almost 100 people can be linked to a single far-right website, according to a new report from the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

The White Nationalist web forum Stormfront.org says it promotes values of “the embattled white minority,” and its users include Anders Behring Breivik, who killed 77 people in a 2011 massacre in Norway, and Wade Michael Page, who shot and killed six people at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin in 2012.

After a two-year investigation, the SPLC said (pdf) that since Stormfront became one of the first hate sites on the internet in 1995, its registered users have been disproportionately responsible for major killings. The report was released a month early after white supremacist Frazier Glenn Miller, also known as Frazier Glenn Cross, was accused of killing three people at a Jewish center in Kansas City on Sunday.

“We know that the people who are going to commit the kinds of crimes, like the kinds of crimes Miller committed last weekend, this is where they live,” said Heidi Beirich, report author and a director at the SPLC’s Intelligence Project. The report, released on Thursday, calls Stormfront the “largest hate site in the world” and “a magnet and breeding ground for the deadly and deranged.”

Of the site’s more than 286,000 users, only a small sliver are highly active, the report found, with fewer than 1,800 people logging in each day. While the SPLC only identified 10 murderers out of this large user base, researchers think the murderers’ connection to the site is important because it shows how the website offers a community for people who commit these crimes.

“It’s pretty clear that websites like Stormfront are breeding grounds for people who are just enraged at their situation, it’s there that people find the reasons their lives aren’t as they had hoped and Stormfront helps them find the enemy that is standing in their way – whether it be Jews, African Americans, immigrants and so on,” said Beirich. “Unfortunately it’s not very surprising that people who live in this kind of stew of violent racism eventually pick up a gun and do something about it at some point.”

Stormfront proudly declares that “every month is white history month” at the top of its site and forum discussions concern things such as the latest news stories, ideology, poetry and creative writing.

“The fact of the matter is that more people have been killed domestically by radical right extremists than Islamic extremists since 9/11 and where you find a lot of these people is on these sites,” said Beirich.

SPLC also identified 10 characteristics shared by killers who were active online including unemployment, posting on more than one hate website, and sustained activity on these sites.

Stormfront founder Don Black, a former grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, criticized Miller for giving users of his site a bad reputation. “We have enough of a problem with how we are portrayed without some homicidal whack job coming along and reinforcing that,” Black told the Daily Beast. After he was banned from Stormfront, the SLPC said Miller posted more than 12,000 times on a similar forum, Vanguard News Network, whose slogan is “No Jews, Just Right.”

The SPLC’s report said hate killings skyrocketed after Barack Obama was inaugurated in 2009.

“We have seen and documented at the SPLC an enormous growth of groups on the radical right, particularly in the last five years,” said Mark Potok, the report’s editor and a senior fellow on the Intelligence Project. “That growth quite clearly seems to be driven by the appearance of Barack Obama on the political scene in the fall of 2008 and of course his subsequent election.”

Southern Poverty Law Group, the largest hate group of them all. If you aren't liberal and surrendering your rights, then SPLC will try to jam it down your throat.

The same group that has declared Cliven Bundy and all those that supported him "domestic terriost" just like Reid did.

The Southern Poverty Law Center stood at the forefront of many of the nation's most pressing social justice issues in 2012. It was a
year in which the nation's growing diversity - and the backlash against it - underscored the vital nature of our work.

Over the past year, we confronted the forces of hate and exposed the activities of the radical right to law enforcement, the media and the public. We fought for the rights of exploited workers, immigrants, vulnerable children and the LGBT community. And we provided lessons of tolerance and respect to millions of schoolchildren across the country. Our work took us into courtrooms, classrooms and the halls of government across America as we stood up for those who have no other champions.

And some of those great accomplishments:

Our campaign to stop rampant anti-LGBT bullying and violence in schools achieved a major milestone when we reached a settlement agreement requiring Minnesota’s largest school district - ground zero in our nationwide fight against bullying - to adopt a wide-ranging plan to protect students from such abuse. We brought the suit after at least four LGBT students in the Anoka-
Hennepin School District died by suicide over a two-year period. And we shared the lessons we learned with schools nationwide.

Gay rights training in our schools, not bullying in itself, but forcing schools to allow LGBT classes.

We fought for the rights of immigrant workers, winning court judgments totaling $16 million for exploited guestworkers in two major cases. We won the largest court award to date on behalf of guestworkers when a federal court ordered a Georgia forestry company to pay $11.8 million to 4,000 guestworkers who were cheated out of wages. A jury also ordered a labor recruiting firm and its owner to pay $4.5 million to 350 Filipino teachers we represented after they were lured to teach in Louisiana public schools and forced into exploitive contracts.

Guest worker being exploited and cheated out of wages. Would those be the same wages that should have been paid to Americans working in American paid jobs.

We alerted law enforcement and the nation to the threat posed by hate groups, armed militias and other factions of the radical right. We documented another year of growth in the anti-government "Patriot" movement. The number of these far-right extremist groups - which include militias - grew from 1,274 in 2011 to 1,360 in
2012, capping an 813 percent rise since President Obama was elected.

Imagine, someone would not like the Odumbo government. But no problem, SPLC is there to monitor and try and bankrupt your group and the people in the group. So stand on your rights and be declared a hate group.

As part of our campaign to improve understanding of the civil rights movement, we provided states with a set of guidelines for teaching students about this pivotal period of U.S. history. We produced the guidelines after revealing in a 2011 study that more than half of all states were failing to teach the civil rights movement.

Oh yes, let's go that extra step to instill in the children the privileges of civil rights. a program to further indoctrinate children not in their inherent rights but that rights are grants from the government. The most treasonable act an organization can perform.

We fought harsh state anti-immigrant laws that result in racial profiling. With our allies, we persuaded a federal appeals court to block key provisions of laws enacted in Alabama and Georgia - an SPLC victory that sent a strong message to other states. We also played a key role in blocking the passage of anti-immigrant
legislation in Mississippi.

And just where does it stop? Pride in having an immense war chest (standing to 234+ million in this 2012 report) they can use in Federal Courts to not only deprive the states of state sovereignty, but to prevent the enforcement of immigration laws by the states that are upset over the lack of federal enforcement by the White House in Odumbo's treasonous actions.

Our Mix It Up at Lunch Day event helped teach thousands of students across the country lessons about respecting others of different backgrounds. The event was a success despite a dishonest attack by far-right extremists who claimed the anti-bias program was a "nationwide push to promote the homosexual lifestyle in public schools."

No comment needed. the Southern Poverty Law Center is nothing more than a liberal group sponsored by the government owners, the banks and corporations, to use unlimited legal funds to bankrupt anyone trying to oppose the government.

So if you believe any hogwash they care to portray, so be it but don't expect myself or any other thinking being to believe they are anything but what they actually are, another tentacle of the government in their fight for domination of the people.

No it doesn't. They are and will still be a white nationalist group which is their right, right up to the point of usurping another's rights, then they need to be dealt with, in a court of law.

And if it were a choice to stand with Stormfront or Southern Poverty Law Center, I would choose Stormfront.

Every other nationality, especially the blacks maintain a right to have their groups, so why can't the whites? Is it ok for the Black Panthers and other militant splinters of the black movement to be ok but when Stormfront has those same splinters the whole movement is condemned?

They do seem to have this thing about the Jews though...

Think these accusations against Jews are far fetched? How about these little tid bits:

1) The United States, at a cost several trillions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of lives, went to war with Iraq for Israel, not for weapons or oil, but solely for the Jews.

2) The Federal Reserve central bank, which controls and issues all the money in the United States, is a privately owned corporation (no joke) to which all Americans and their government are heavily in debt because they have to pay interest on all the money in circulation - money that was created out of nothing at all by this corporation.

3) The United States and Europe are being flooded with tens of millions of third worlders who are having a lot of kids. Soon, White people will soon lose control of the countries their ancestors founded. Many Whites think this is OK as long as the immigrants work. Really? Are the immigrants going to vote? Are they going to intermarry Whites?

4) No where are these important issues seriously discussed in the mainstream media.

Now I can't say I agree number 1 in the way it is presented but the overall concept is rock solid, it was all about the fiat petro dollar, the IMF, the World Bank, and the Federal Reserve as is Syria and Ukraine. Therefore their are Jewish ties but to hold that against all the Jewish people is unreasonable.

But now the rest seem to be self evident. But to condemn any group because of a small number of people associating themselves with it would be like condemning Martin Luther King and his supporters because of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.

So stand on stupid prejudice while the real prejudice stab freedom in the back and instill he ultimate hate to keep the peoples divided and against each other instead of taking a firm stand on the real problem.

Ajamu Baraka writes at CounterPunch:

Overland Park, a city of fewer than 200,000 in the heartland of the U.S. just south of Kansas City, is an unlikely setting for a terrorist attack. But on April 13, Frazier Glenn Cross, aka Frazier Glenn Miller, brought terror to Overland Park. With the intention to “kill him some Jews,” Miller, former Grand Dragon of the Carolina Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, and FBI informant showed up with weapons in hand at a Jewish community center and a retirement home and murdered three Christians whom he mistook as Jewish.

While the authorities needed “more investigation” regarding Miller’s motive, the national media made the obvious connection characterizing the attack as a hate crime. But neither the media nor the authorities dared to call it what it was – a terrorist attack.

For Miller, there was no ambiguity. Shouting “Heil Hitler” from the back of a police car, his intentions, and motivations were made clear. His was a political act with a political meaning that at its core was meant to not just intimidate, but terrorize a whole community. Strangely, however, when it comes to acts carried out by the racist, radical right, the media and state authorities seem loath to characterize them as acts of terror. The reluctance to identify the domestic terrorist threat from the radical right is also seen in the U.S. Congress.

In 2009, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a report on the growing threat of white supremacist extremist groups and their close connections with military personnel. The DHS report was based on data and analysis from an FBI report prepared under the Bush Administration in July of 2008 titled “White Supremacist Recruitment of Military Personnel since 9/11.” In that report, the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division found that white supremacist organizations were pushing their followers to join the military and enter either the Special Forces or the infantry, in order to gain the necessary skills to prepare them for the “coming race war.” As a result, the report found that:

“…military experience is found throughout the white supremacist extremist movement as the result of recruitment campaigns by extremist groups and self-recruitment by veterans sympathetic to white supremacist causes.”

And what was the response from Congress? Incredibly, the right wing in Congress alleged that the report was a partisan attack on them and as a consequence were able to have the report rescinded and wiped away from the DHS website – and out of the public’s awareness.

Burying the DHS report did not result in the elimination of the very real threat posed by the more violent wing of the radical right, a threat being played out by extremist forces throughout Europe, as well as the U.S.

Stormfront is an Alice in wonderland story compared to Weiner Holder or, Fairy can, or that panther jackass who call for killing joos, white folks, skinning white babies.

This topic is one sided and expresses bigoted hatred for whites.

It is highly offensive and I'd like the mods to take it down.

In principle I agree with their right to believe and do what they wish so long as they do not violate my rights. It is up to others to guard their own rights, not mine.

But I will not hold the whole group responsible for the actions of a few hot heads, I hold the hot heads responsible.

But on the other hand, I will support their right to exist even though I may not agree with their philosophy or even what they stand for.

That is the difference between me and most, if you don't fit into my little window of beliefs, I will still defend your right to believe that way so long as it does not trample the rights of another.

Were have I heard this story before? This guy sounds like another of those FBI, DHS, or some alphabet soup agency plant. Find a wacko, get him all hyped up on pharma, take him off real quick and turn him loose. Now where was that again, oh yes Oklahoma City or was that a DC military base or how about Ft.Hood, twice.

Ah oh, what happened, blue team pull a fast one on red team and now everything needs to get buried, nothing like that has happened before, has it.

So just tell me how one wacko somehow contaminates the whole group, something like Waco or Ruby Ridge to me, paint a picture, find a villian, and then attack, the public is so stupid they will eat it all up anyway. And Cliven Bundy and the militia that supported him are the new targets.
