Obama Calls for Highest Sustained Taxation in U.S. History

(CNSNews.com) - In the budget proposal he presented to Congress last month, President Barack Obama called for what would be the highest level of sustained taxation ever imposed on the American people, according to the analysis published last week by the Congressional Budget Office.

Under Obama's proposal, taxes would rise from 17.6 percent of Gross Domestic Product in 2014 to 19.2 percent in 2024. During the ten years from 2015 to 2024, federal taxation would average 18.7 percent GDP.

Add that to higher healthcare costs, half the nation on food stamps, no jobs, savings or even a benefit to savings these days and WAH-LAH, you have the makings of an bankrupt, indebted nation, with no hope of a future for our children, much less ourselves!

No wonder they're trying to sell America to China at the expense of our farmers, ranch owners, and taxpayers!

The liberals are selling our lands for personal profit, acquiring it thru theft by the BLM, rezoning later, then personally buying it up (as Slimey Reid has in Nevada) for pennies on the dollar, then selling it to China or whoever for immense personal gain. Meanwhile taxpayers pay for the upkeep and fees associated with the property they make MILLIONS on for their own personal gain thru the sale or lease.

What a racket! Your tax dollars at work!

We're funding our own demise! They borrow money from China, to give to Egypt and others who hate us, outsource our jobs and industry to those countries, then put it on our bill to be paid for by taxes, with money we don't have, from jobs we can't get, promised by over-priced education that won't get you a job at Burger King!

But Wall Street, banks and unions are doing great..... or we'll bail them out! OH..... and most of them don't pay taxes...... and none ever go to jail!

How stupid are we? slaphead

I've said this before but I might as well say it again.

Never underestimate the stupidity of the American voter.

Still upset about the Bundy Ranch in Nevada? Why should that guy get to graze his cattle on federal land for free when other cattle ranchers have to pay for their feed and land? Your whole post seems to just say "Hey, look over there!"

Sure, we've got problems, but it's not like we cannot fix them. How about getting Congress to pass a jobs bill that isn't simply more tax cuts for the rich? How about improving education so that companies can actually find qualified employees in America, for a change? You're droning on about taxes, but that money could actually pay for goods and services we need, and not simply raise the profit margin of multinational corporations and hedge fund managers. While you're crying about the governments of China and Saudi Arabia buying our bonds, we need to repair and improve our infrastructure. Roads are potholing and bridges are collapsing. The ranking of our educational system is falling like a rock. How about looking for answers, for a change?

Keynesian, hmm, and I thunk you Liberals have all the answers?laugh
Funny thing is,that you Liberals created that Mess!
Along with your pseudo-Conservative Cronies!

as John Galt said:"Get the Hell Out Of The Way"!

"Let it be, that should be the motto of all public powers, since the world was civilized ... That we cannot grow except by lowering our neighbors is a detestable notion! Only malice and malignity of heart is satisfied with such a principle and our (national) interest is opposed to it. Let it be, for heaven's sake! Let it be!)

That takes "leadership" and sadly, America has none at present! What we have are a bunch of lawyers calling themselves statesmen lining their pockets on the peoples suffering and labors.

Your community organizer has no clue what leadership is. He simply follows orders from his superiors to get what THEY want, and "THEY" aren't us, the American people!

Our taxes don't go towards roads or education. They go to pay the interest on the national debt your idiot has raised by over $7.2 TRILLION dollars in only 5 years, the taxes, laws, and regulations his admin has passed making it cheaper to send jobs and industry overseas, a healthcare law that is nothing more than the biggest tax mandate ever imposed on Americans destroying healthcare, and now Common Core to end education in America.

You want answers? Try asking the idiot sitting the throne in DC why he hates America and is seeking so hard to destroy her.... but then, if you ever read his book "Dreams From My Father", you would know!

OH.... and by the way.....The liberal Dems, your party, controls the Congress.....remember? Why don't you ask them?

One-Third of a Year a Slave
By Joseph Salerno
Tuesday, April 8th, 2014

This year Tax Freedom Day falls on April 22, three days later than last year. By that date, Americans will have earned sufficient income to pay the $3.0 trillion and $1.5 trillion they will be forced to pay this year in federal and state taxes, respectively. The total of $4.5 exceeds the amount they will spend this year on food, clothing, and shelter. So the total costs of Wall Street bank bailouts, military bases in 130 foreign countries, maintaining 1 percent of the U.S. adult population in prison cages, most for nonviolent crimes, drones to kill foreign and U.S. citizens, subsidies to large agribusiness corporations, militarized and trigger-happy police forces, and all the other important public goods the government supplies now costs us more than the basic necessities for sustaining human life. When government borrowing, which entails future taxation, is included the Tax Freedom Day is pushed back 15 days to May 6. In 1900, prior to the enactment of the federal income tax laws in 1913, U.S. citizens paid 6 percent of their income in taxes and Tax Freedom Day was January 22.

Actually they don't. Excise taxes are so numerous they pay for much of the government's needs and the money they give away and the rest is borrowed money. However, the income tax is to pay the interest on the debt that is why it needs to be raised, so much debt and even at these low interest rates there just isn't enough for our jailers to get their profits now around a trillion or more a year.

And if you still pay taxes, I would say pretty stupid. If you would like additional information Dave Champion has a book entitled "Income Tax: Shattering the Myths". But beware as his theories are encased in bitter controversy with the IRS and without knowing more will get you in trouble. However it is excellent information to get a basic understanding on Title 26.

Still no clue and this post has nothing to do with Bundy, totally off topic. So when your head is above the sand, try looking around but then I doubt anything would change.

Fix problems, not likely. We have been on your suggested path for more than a century and where has it got us? And so your suggestion is we do more of the same and then we can expect what? And our education system, just look at what it has accomplished:
