What harm has Biden done to the country? By almost any metric, the country was better off by the end of Biden's term than it was when he entered office. The only thing Trump can truly claim is the reduced Southern Border crossings, but that's probably because Trump's wrecked things so badly that they don't find America as appealing anymore.

It's still early for Trump, but things going South, fast! Trump is breaking more laws, earlier, and disabling government protections from calamity. He disbanded the pandemic task force in his first term which is why the US suffered so badly in 2020. Now he's doing worse!! He put a vaccine skeptic in charge of the CDC, so bird flu research and Ebola prevention, along with the cancer research and several other disease prevention programs are all cut or eliminated. He's surrendering leadership on emerging technologies over to China, ordering the US Cyber Command to lay off of Russia, while his "Big Beautiful Bill" piles on another $10 trillion to the national debt.

Maybe "no one man can now fix it all" but Trump is showing absolute determination to break it all.

If Donald cared about the Constitution, he'd afford the accused their due process, rather than deporting them against court order and stuffing them into a slave labor camp for the rest of their lives, without so much as a simple hearing to determine their status, much less criminality.

Seems that Trump is trying to deflect from his own mental decline. Biden's out of office, so there's nothing to do about that. Meanwhile:

And many of the immigrants getting deported are legal, lawful immigrants who were contributing members of society or spouses of US citizens. Trump has appointed blithering idiots to positions that need serious capabilities, so here we are with thousands of nonsensical deportations and US aviation lapsing on inspections, because "DOGE" fired the wrong people again.

But how about Biden presiding over four years of economic growth that beat every other country on Earth? How about finishing his presidency having created more jobs in his 4 years than the last four Republican presidents combined? It seems that "financial advisor" missed the stock market levels reached under Biden, too. Now maybe he just meant that Biden didn't do that, but instead, it was the people that Biden hired, like his trade and labor advisors. Maybe it was his FTC chairman or whatever. But that points to Biden's competence. He could get the best people and let them do their job. Meanwhile, Trump hires whomever will just stay loyal to Trump, and now airplanes fall from the sky at record rates, while DOGE is killing a hundred thousand babies in Sudan, and millions more across Africa, having deactivated USAID. So much for "pro-life."

If the "Big Beautiful Bill" gets passed, we'll all owe $160,000 more per household in national debt. Trump pretending to be Santa Clause isn't helping the country, but just putting more money into the bank accounts of billionaires. Under that bill, people like you and me will not see more than a few $hundred in tax cuts. Our taxes will be about the same, while the national debt balloons another $10 trillion in the next 4 years. You're a smart guy. You know what that means. Do you think it's worth it?

And before you defer to Trump's wisdom, remember that he's the guy who thinks we can win a trade war. His tariffs have already hurt our economy in ways that have only begun to be felt, but will hurt us for generations. He's making the USA the enemy of the Western World. He's making our allies run to make trade deals with China, so they don't have to deal with US tariffs. I know I say it a lot, but Trump is an imbecile. He's just giving away money to the billionaires because they helped get him into office and now he can grift some $billions for himself.

I agree that many people were upset with President Biden and the way things were going, but Trump never had a plan to actually fix anything. It was his billionaire supporters who pitched in hundreds of $millions to get Trump elected in order to get their precious tax cuts, while Harris was promising to raise taxes on the top 1%.

So here we are, several months into Trump's term, well after his "day one" promises to fix inflation and end the war in Ukraine. "Promises made, something something."

I disagree. Hobbling FEMA when tragedy strikes all over the country just hurts people. It doesn't save much money, and we pay taxes so that our government can serve us. Trump's plan isn't working. He wrecking the US auto manufacturing industry. Sure, semiconductor jobs are coming back to the US, but that has been happening since Biden's CHIPS Act.
