WKRG took to the sky for a better perspective and as late as Sunday afternoon, they reported seeing 100 to 150 sharks swimming around the area where the gulf meets Perdido Pass.

Experts believed that they were bull sharks and varied in size with some 6 to 7 feet long, but most just 3 to 4 feet long. According to WKRG, bull sharks are one of the top ten deadliest sharks.

By Monday, most of the sharks had dispersed and the station was only able to count 22 sharks in the area, a number closer to the norm.

The Pensacola News Journal reported that Melvin Shepard, Orange Beach safety director, felt the large number of sharks in the area were there to feed.

"We think a lot has to do with snapper fishing," Shepard said.

"A lot of people are cleaning their fish and tossing them into the water (at the pass).

We're hoping with snapper season ending today, people will stop dumping their carcasses and the sharks will disperse."



Gotta love a good red snapper.

But I can't help wonder if what's happening in our gulf waters is still somehow related to the massive BP oil spill aftermath.

I would imagine that the fish carcasses are more likely. Oil or petroleum products from a pipeline issue would be more likely to drive them (and everything else) away or kill the sea life.

The only thing stupider than a bunch of people dropping raw fish into the water is the lack of public officials doing anything about it...jmho

1. Effects as of 2013

Nearly 10 million pounds of oily residue has been removed from Louisiana shorelines (between June 2011 - April 7, 2013).

More than 200 miles of Louisiana shoreline still has this oily residue embedded in its marshlands, killing vegetation and causing the marshland to erode.

While Louisiana was the hardest hit, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida shorelines were also impacted. Here's how much oil residue was collected between June 2011 and March 2013:

Louisiana -- 9,810,133 pounds
Alabama -- 941,427 pounds
Mississippi -- 112,449 pounds
Florida -- 73,341 pounds.

Impact to Fisheries

The oil disaster affected the cellular function of the killifish, a common baitfish at the base of the food chain. It's harmed the development of larger fish such as mahi mahi, and reduced the number of juvenile Bluefin by 20%.

Impact to Wildlife

In 2011, half of the area's bottlenose dolphins have been compromised by lung disease. An NOAA study reported this type of disease is are caused by "toxic exposure to oil." More than 1,700 sea turtles were found stranded (between May 2010 and November 2012), compared to 240 normally found a year.

In addition, 930 dolphins and whales were stranded (between February 2010 and April 2013), compared to 20 normally found.



I ponder whether sharks like other sea and wildlife have found their normal feeding grounds and sources for food so polluted and insufficient to meet their hunger needs that man fed carcasses are better than nothing.

Things change un-naturally as humans seek to control them for advancing benefits, profits, or progress.

They play with our weather, they surround the Earth and litter space with rocket debris, manipulate animal hormones and our agricultural food chain, cut down our rain forests for lumber, roads and dams, the very forests that support our protective ozone layer..... then blame humans for the changes that occur while they dump corporate and chemical waste into our air, ground, lakes, streams and oceans.

Now fracking! People in many states that allow it have tap water that will catch fire if ignited! It's new technology with side effects still unknown, but they proceed without long term study, for profit, while disregarding the harm to our environment and its many health issues like cancers and molecular cell degeneration..... with cancer, birth defects, and autism on the rise..... Agent Orange from Dow and Lillie used in Nam, depleted Uranium in the ME, Monsanto rushing to create faster, more abundant food production, without any of their natural healthy vitamins, proteins, or nutritional value, requiring artificial and chemical food supplements and drugs to be consumed by our growing population to compensate for it.

Progress is needed, exciting, and a natural evolution of mankind, placing us above the animals, but is it actually healthy to the populace they claim as the need for it, or is it more about profit shares and controlling the very basics of life and humanity?

Even the banks and corporations that failed, their CEOs, executives and lobbyists walked away with MILLIONS in bailouts and bonuses while the workers, savers, and "eaters" (average people) lost their jobs, houses and savings.... to pay for their casino debts on wall street.

Taxes were raised to cover the bailouts as the corporations receiving them outsourced our jobs.... and QE was created by the FED to reward them for it... at our expense of course!

But our govt works for us..... and many still believe they care.... as our soldiers who defend us die living in poverty on the streets!

Fools and idiots! Aren't we a proud nation these days!

And while our countrymen (vets) languish and often die at their own hands, our poor and uneducated are kept ignorant and in line, our middle classes are kept on the leash in the bankers hand, our earth is raped of her natural resources, our food and water supplies are corrupted to the point they cause disease that requires healthcare that's considered a privilege not a right, our oceans are so polluted sustaining its own life is becoming dubious, our govt spies on all of us while calling us paranoid or traitors for sounding the alarm, where are we to see a silver lining in any of this?

Human beings are programmable much like computers. Like a computer, if a human being has a bad "file system format" (conditions during a child's formative years), a bad "operating system" (culture), and bad "software programs" (erroneous, rigid, and dogmatic beliefs), their "output" (behavior) onto the "screen" (life) will also be bad, and will contribute to deteriorating conditions on a mass scale. Like a computer, the behavior of a human being will largely depend upon its programming (the quality of the information put into it, which enables it to process and create efficiently).

The only true freedom is when so-called public "officials" think they are something other than the servants they are and do anything about anything. But what is really dumb is to imagine anyone, any individual, has dominion over another, it's called slavery.

Authority, an illusion of a diseased psyche, based entirely in violence and built upon the erroneous and dogmatic belief that some people are masters who have the moral right to issue commands, and others are slaves who have a moral obligation to obey the masters. Slavery.

Yes it is an elite club, one I do not care to be a member of nor to support in their endeavor to maintain the slavery. Not the slavery of old where people were bought and sold forthright, but the new modern slavery, Amendment XIII voluntary servitude slaves. Those Amendment XIV citizens so eager to be subject to as to receive their full bounty of privileges and immunities.

But there is a third option, membership in the republic. It is the land of the freeman, those that take responsibility for themselves, those that declare their full rights as endowed by their creator, those that believe the words of Patrick Henry as their own:

People just following orders, that is why they call it a totalitarian system, a police state, why do they not call it a banker state? A politician state? A lawyer state? A judge state? Because none of these people are ultimately responsible for bringing that condition into manifestation through their behavior, they are the order givers. The order-followers carry out their commands and through their behavior make that condition into reality, that's why they call it a police state. Because every police state that has existed has always been created by police that follow their orders.

An individual's personal responsibility to choose right action over wrong action for themselves is always their own. One can only claim that they are "abdicating" personal responsibility for such choice to someone else. It can never actually be done, in reality. More simply put, an individual is always responsible for his or her own actions, NO "COP-OUTS".

Without debt, there is no money system, it just dries up and goes away, that is the whole mechanism behind a fiat reserve banking system.

When one walks into a bank for a loan, the bank is forbidden by law to lend you their own money or the money of their depositors, so just where does the money come from, the signature on the loan.

When people take out a loan, money appears, as people pay off their loan, it disappears. That is the whole mechanism used to control the good and bad periods, debt.

When the bankers want to collect real assets from their fake currency, they shut off the loan pipe, people default and the banks end up with real tangible assets.

That is how the "big" boy elites ended up owning the majority of the corporations, the depression of 1917, pennies on the dollar, and a War to recover, but just who really recovered?

And then the 1930's, massive depression, more at pennies on the dollar and bingo another War for recovery, the recovery of the bankers and a world in massive debt.

It's time to play the Hunger Game, with the politicians and their corporate owners as the contestants.
