July 2, 2014 - Obama Is First As Worst President Since WWII, Quinnipiac University National Poll Finds; More Voters Say Romney Would Have Been Better

President Barack Obama is the worst president since World War II, 33 percent of American voters say in a Quinnipiac University National Poll released today. Another 28 percent pick President George W. Bush.

Ronald Reagan is the best president since WWII, 35 percent of voters say, with 18 percent for Bill Clinton, 15 percent for John F. Kennedy and 8 percent for Obama, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University poll finds. Among Democrats, 34 percent say Clinton is the best president, with 18 percent each for Obama and Kennedy.

Obama has been a better president than George W. Bush, 39 percent of voters say, while 40 percent say he is worse. Men say 43 - 36 percent that Obama is worse than Bush while women say 42 - 38 percent he is better. Obama is worse, Republicans say 79 - 7 percent and independent voters say 41 - 31 percent. Democrats say 78 - 4 percent that he is better.

Voters say by a narrow 37 - 34 percent that Obama is better for the economy than Bush.

America would be better off if Republican Mitt Romney had won the 2012 presidential election, 45 percent of voters say, while 38 percent say the country would be worse off.

Missing Mitt are Republicans 84 - 5 percent and independent voters 47 - 33 percent, while Democrats say 74 - 10 percent that the U.S. would be worse off with Romney.

"Over the span of 69 years of American history and 12 presidencies, President Barack Obama finds himself with President George W. Bush at the bottom of the popularity barrel," said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

Very interesting.

If Barack Obama's unpopularity is due to hatred, as Obama-worshippers will claim, then what is George W. Bush's unpopularity due to?

mostly people losing loved ones in the war and the length of the war and his insistence on the war, and the start of one of the worst economic freefalls and his embarrassing intellect amongst other world leaders,,,,,

to name a few things

certainly, my own family is no fan of his, and it wasn't because of his race since EVERY other president they ever voted for was white too

with FIRSTS sometimes come higher expectations,,,,

'its not enough to be as good as you have to be better then',,, a common mantra with my elders

as well as

'it wont be enough to walk on water, without still being criticized for getting your feet wet'

popularity rises and wanes,, but this is an interesting poll,,

as well as how vastly the numbers change according to the demographic, men or women or political party

the questions and options given for answers would be interesting to see,as well as the demographics of those who RESPONDED to the poll, let alone received it,,

do they get a random mailing list? do they send to alumni and people who subscribe to some type of newsletter?

I have no doubt actual HISTORIANS with some historical and quantifiable basis for ranking will not agree , or come close to agreeing,,,

but polls are always interesting to watch to measure POPULAR trending,,,

msharmony, I fully understand the non-hate reasons that some people have for having a low opinion of President George W. Bush.

As it turns out, some people have non-hate reasons for having a low opinion of President Obama, but Obama-worshippers won't even acknowledge the existence of those non-hate reasons.

that's true, like Obama haters refuse to aknowledge the non worhsipping reasons that people support him,,,flowerforyou

I agree people have non hate reasons to not support ANY PRESIDENT (none have been perfect, and depending upon ones individual struggles during that presidency they probably support or don't support them)

but , as I have said before, I am weary of those who refuse to aknowlege any strengths (haters) or weaknesses (worshippers),, those I respect are the more balanced voters that can see the good and bad that occurs under any presidency,,,,

Of course there are non-worshipping reasons why some people support President Obama.

The economic free fall started at the towards the end of the Clinton Presidency. President Bush inherited a mess economy wise and national security wise, but he had enough class to handle the responsibility and not play the blame game like Fuhrer Obama. Yea, he sent troops to war AFTER terrorists flew four planes up our a$$, bombed the USS Cole and several Embassies. He also has Al Qaeda down to under 500 world wide and less then 1,00 Taliban world wide. Now Obama has let it grow back up just like Clinton did. Al Qaeda it over 20,000 strong world wide and the Taliban even more.

I never said President Bush was perfect. I am not happy about his immigration policies and a few other things. But He is one of the best President's I think we have had.

Everytime we get a new President someone acts against us or pushes the Administration. With Jimmy Carter it was the Iranian Revolution and the Iranian Hostage crisis and he did squat and FAILED miserably. With Reagan it was Lebanon and Libya. In Lebanon he sent the USS New Jersey who "fired almost 300 shells at Druze and Syrian positions in the Bekaa Valley east of Beirut. This was the heaviest shore bombardment since the Korean War. "In a nine-hour period, the U.S.S. New Jersey fired 288 16-inch rounds, each one weighing as much as a Volkswagen Beetle. In those nine-hours, the ship consumed 40 percent of the 16-inch ammunition available in the entire European theater...[and] in one burst of wretched excess," the New Jersey seemed to be unleashing eighteen months of repressed fury.

Then Libya kept violating international airspace provoking US forces and we shot several of their planes down. No one messed with us after that. Not to mention he started negotiations that brought and end to the cold war.

President Bush Sr. Was pushed by Saddam who we back down with almost no effort under his leadership and who ended the cold war.

Then there was Clinton, we were F'ed with during his whole Presidency and he barely did anything(not to mention Al Qaeda was formed and turned into a mega organization under his watch and he botched or refused many attempts to take him out.

President Bush got messed with once and he handled business.

Obama is being F'ed with from all sides and has become the laughing stock of the world from his BS Red Lines and lack of experience and cowardice. Al Qaeda basically has over run two countries but Obama sure can play a game of golf. Not to mention he is the first President to be shot down by the ENTIRE Supreme Court(including to Socialist Judges he appointed) and twice in one week. rofl
