The people in the Obama administration very clearly do not see themselves as public servants — no, they’re our generous rulers, happily lording it over us little people in the United States. But Valerie Jarrett takes that attitude to an entirely new level, with a bizarre and slightly cult-ish picture frame with figurines bowing to a picture of her in her office.

Earlier this week during NBC’s exclusive peek inside the world of Valerie Jarrett, Obama’s closest adviser, the network’s cameras picked up on a little something that may have gone unnoticed. It has to do with three little figurines placed in her office, right in front of a picture of Jarrett.

Those figurines? They’re all bowing down to her.

Remember how a little over two hundred years ago or so, we got rid of a monarchy and the whole idea of peerage? Well, the Obama administration wants you to forget all of that, and quite literally bow to them. Soon, she’ll be wanting us to call her Duchess Valerie.
