I heard through 'reliable sources' that Bin Laden, afte hearing of Bush's initiative, and trusting the Western world commitment to justice, is preparing to make a rare appearance in front of congress and the senate to plead for equal treatment of immunity for himself.

Of course, the word on the Hill is that Bin Laden's plea will be heard with the same indulgence and fairness as 'Bushes' plea. Why should WE, the little people at the bottom of te hill, think otherwise??? After all we are the fair ones, right?!?!?

Terrorists went from being considered "Enemy Combatants" who were NOT eligible to the Geneva Convention (And that's according to the Geneva Convention...to be covered by the GC, you must be 1) a soldier for a country that is a signatory 2) wearing your nations uniform 3) your nation must have declared war) to "Enemy Combatants" who were eligible for Geneva Convention protections (although the Geneva Convention is clear that they are not covered). Because of this status change, it makes sense that the Bush administration would be given protection from prosecution. Also, quick civics lesson, Congress writes the laws, not the President. So he didn't write that provision and didn't add it to the law.

I've offered my opinion, so FLAME ON! And don't forget to tell me how sick and twisted Christianity is, extra points for mentioning the inquisition and/or the Crusades.
