To get a picture: Go to photobucket.com Enter something to search for Click on the icon in the upper right had corner of the picture Click on “Get Links” Click in the “IMG codes” area and it will change to “Copied” Paste into your response To get a Smiley click on "Add Smiley" on the left of this text box

Lordy! That's a lot of steps. I don't have a photobucket. I've heard about it but I have never used it. I guess I'm a little behind the times. Thanks for the help!

If you click on 'Quote' (beneath all posts on forums) on a post with an image here, you will see how a person adds an image. It really is simple. You place the address of the image between [IMG][/IMG] WITHOUT the asterisks, of course :-) It would look thusly: [IMG]http address here[/IMG] People use the FREE http://www.photobucket.com to host the image, that gives you an http address for it and then supplies the above code for forum usage. Welcome:-)

Here is a plan for success! Go through the forums and pick any or all that seem interesting. Make a comment of some sort. After a while, you will learn the personalities of those in the forums and they will get to know you. You WILL make friends. Beware the out of the blue come-ons. Scammers exist. An easy way to post photos and cartoons is to go to Google images (there are several other sites also). Right click on an image and click on the "copy image location" gui. It will save the complicated address in your cut and paste memory. Go to the "post reply" part of a thread and start with the ** but leave out all the astricks. You'll have to hit "quote" below to see what I have done. for example Welcome to the forums.
