P.S. The OP has already deactivated, so all of this is moot, anyway.

Maybe he's found himself a hot date?

Should you feel guilty? No, unless you didn't look for a single woman in the other city/town and "forgotten to mention to her" that you are a single dad while exchanging text messages in order not to talk to her in front of your child(ren).

Don't you feel bad. It's hard to bring up your kid on your own.
But take a bit of time out from everything you do. Go out. Have your son stay at mates house or his mates round yours n you go out for a few drinks and start off from there.
You've done amazingly to bring your son up for this long. Don't feel guilty!

Your son is entering adulthood and he has his things that he want to do i think if you can manage your time you can do all of the above, work, parent and have fun!just make sure if you looking to find someone to be open about it with your son because even though he is older now he is use to things being the way it is,and you dont want living your life to break the bond between you and your son.and just always be there for him always

You cannot be with someone just because you don๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝt want to hurt him. You have your own happiness to think about.

Man you are in a tough place. Being a man it is your responsibility to keep your house going, sometimes that is easier said then done. I am a dad to 4 boys and 1 girl. the children came from 2 different marriages. We have her children, my children, and our child. They are all grown now and out of the house. If I had it all to do over again I would do it differently. I am really close with the two boys That I made time for no matter what. the rest of the children really do not speak to me. With this being said, Take what ever time you need to take to maintain your relationship with your child. He will be forever, nothing else should take the priority spot at this point.
good luck my friend. It will be a bumpy ride but it will be worth it in the long run.
