A key eyewitness in the shooting of unarmed teenager Michael Brown, whose death set off violent protests in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, reportedly has a warrant out for his arrest.

ABC17.com reported Wednesday that 22-year-old Dorian Johnson, who was with Brown when he was shot, has a warrant out for his arrest for stealing in Jefferson County, Missouri from 2011.

Johnson also was charged that same year with lying to police, the station reported.

WND.com reported that the court clerk for the Municipal Court of Jefferson City confirmed that Johnson had been arrested June 24, 2011 for allegedly stealing a parcel. Johnson was also accused of lying about his identity and age. He was charged with larceny with an added count of false identification.

Johnson was scheduled for trial on July 31, 2013 but did not show, according to the clerk.

The clerk told WND.com that Johnson has a warrant for his extradition if he is arrested in a 50-mile radius of Jefferson City.

Johnson’s attorney Freeman Bosley Jr. told WND.com that the situation regarding Johnson’s legal troubles has been taken care of, and has no impact on Johnson’s credibility in the Brown case.

(Johnson) was held in jail in St. Louis for 14 days, waiting on Cole County to come get him, based on the warrant, Bosley told WND.com. ��They never came, so the city let him go.

Protesters have gathered daily, with some crowds turning violent, since a police officer fatally Brown on Aug. 9. Police have said the officer was pushed into his squad car and then physically assaulted during a struggle over his weapon. At least one shot was fired inside the car. The struggle then spilled onto the street, where Brown was shot multiple times. Brown was unarmed.

Johnson has told reporters that the officer ordered him and Brown out of the street, then tried to open his door so close to the pair that it "ricocheted" back, apparently upsetting the officer. Johnson said the officer grabbed Brown's neck and tried to pull him into the car before brandishing his weapon.

Johnson said Brown started to run and the officer pursued him, firing multiple times. Johnson and another witness said Brown had his hands raised when the officer fired.

Brown had been suspected of stealing a $48.99 box of cigars from a convenience store in a "strong-arm" robbery shortly before he was killed. Police have determined that Johnson was not involved in the robbery and will not seek charges against him.

This just keeps getting better and better. They lying little thug who has changed his story over 4 times to the media and police, now we find he has a history of lying to Law Enforcement, Theft and other crimes. Between this knucklehead the video that back up the cops story, the coroners report that backs up the cops story and the medical information released about the officer and the savage beating he got by Brown before he was able to defend himself. This is a clear cut case of self defense.

Now we got Obama sending his Gestapo Chief Eric Holder down there in person along with over 40 Federal Agents on BS. That moron needs to keep his nose and the Federal Government out of local matters. This has nothing to do with racism. This is a decorated officer who has NEVER had a complaint against him (which is rare in Law Enforcement).

Can we say SLAM DUNK for the defense and lawsuits all around for the accusers?

but to answer your question, it would have been harder to get sympathy for the shooting of the smaller 'Johnson', plus the smaller Johnson stopped and HID,, instead of standing and facing the officer,,,,

Also watch the interviews of Johnson with the reporters. When he is answering questions he tends to look up and to the left a lot. When your interviewing someone their eyes tell a lot. If your and to the left your using the creative side of your brain (the side where your making up stuff), if your look to the right your using you the side that deals with memory, if they look up they are thinking, looking down an act of power and or domination, glancing shows desire, breaking eye contact means you just brought up something that stuck a nerve-like them getting found out and limited eye contact is insecurity.

I don't under stand why there is ANY sympathy for thugs and criminals who try to act like hard a$$es hurt people and use fear and intimidation to commit crimes. The sympathy should be for the officer WHO has never had a complaint on him in his ENTIRE career, who's career is probably over now because he did his job and will have a target on his back probably for the rest of his life because a thug attacked him (after committing a violent robbery) and he defended himself.

A first year law student could probably get the case thrown out of court at the very least and at the most a not guilty verdict. This case is a defense attorney's wet dream. You have a supposed victim who just committed a robbery and assaulted an elderly man, you have an eye witness who's story has changed multiple times and who has a criminal history including lying to law enforcement (the Thug and Prison related tats on his neck doesn't help either), you have a video of right after the attack where people are talking about Brown attacking the officer, you have a police officer with substantial bodily injuries. It doesn't get any better then this for a not guilty verdict. Hell, there was less going for the defense at the Trevon Martin case and Zimmerman landed an acquittal.

A lot of the national figures have gotten quiet over the last few days. Another perfect example of them jumping in before they know all the facts and get doo doo on their face.

The thug has changed his story MULTIPLE times now and has a history of lying to the police. He has NO credibility what so ever and that is his own doing.

Your right, Johnson hid and Brown faced and attacked the officer.

He wont come clean, he's a criminal and he knows what will happen. He gave an official statement to the police and he knows if he gives them a different statement then they got him on several charges.

Now when he keeps changing his story to the different media outlets, that's another story, that can only be used to destroy what credibility he has left.
