I am trying to get out. Of the US :) . I have several reasons for choosing Germany, but the main thing is it is within the EU.

Germany is a bit less strict with immigration then my country.
Which is Holland.
Don't expect it to be "roses and sunshine" There is lots of bureacracy becomming EU citizen. Europe is not doing that well at this moment too.
Lots of unemployment. And very strict rules. And it is propably a good
idea to start learning German as well.

There is also a thing that is called the "German route" (duitse route)
It might be very interesting to read that. Because it could make emmigration much more easier.
