Put a general resume together and send them everywhere you can either online or by the mail. Resume makers are free online. Make it professional looking because that is all the company has to go on before calling you for an interview. Watch for job fairs in your area. The local coloseums\civic centers will have a listing when these occur. Dress the part for working in that job when you go for the interview. Find out the dress before you go. You want to fit in....not stand out like a sore thumb.

find a husband ??? this isn't 1912. I can take care of my DAMN self and as far as the late thing long story short it was based on a point system that they have "discretion" on whether or not to can u. a manager didn't like me so they got me on my late-ness, forgetting the fact that I had just won a prize for customer service so they can suck it and so can all the old ladies out there that think a rich man can solve ur problems...no that's why they are MY problems.. no offense to u personally duffy but I can't stand when women do that...marry or use guys for $ THAT IS SO 1920

I was fired for the first time ever earlier this year... it was horrible. Hard on the ego. I wasn't fired for what I did to; it was for what I wouldn't do, sign a non-compete agreement.

I hope that you have some $$$ put aside so that you can reconsider where you are heading...No excuse for being late all the time, shows me you didn't care about the job.

So, I guess my best advice to you is to work toward a job that you will want to go to everyday. Then you won't be late all the time.

BTW - after getting fired, a month later I got a great job that I love.

WELL WHEN YOUR TREATED LIKE CRAP AT YOUR JOB BUT U CAN'T QUIT CAUSE YOU HAVE TO PAY YOUR BILLS IT'S A TOUGH SPOT SO EVEN THO I AM BROKE INSIDE DEEP DOWN I'M GLAD IT HAPPENED AND IM REALLY PROUD OF THE WAY I HANDLED IT. BY THE WAY I DID CARE ABOUT BEING ON TIME IT HAD MORE TO DO WITH A SPECIFIC MGR NOT LIKING ME SO IM NOT A SLACKER OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT

Wait a sec....you were fired for being late too many times....but you're proud of "the way I handled myself".

WTF???????????????????????????????noway

Excuse me, but I'm supposed to feel sorry for you?

And you were constantly late because of "a specific manager not liking me"?

BOO-HOO-HOO!sad sad sad

Welcome to the real world, honey! Everyone in the workplace isn't required to like each other. The more people that work at a certain place, the more different personalities you'll have there. You still pull together and get the job done. Leave your ego at the door. In the real world, we adults call that "professionalism".

"...so I'm not a slacker...."

Coulda fooled me.

*sigh*

I guess professionalism is really a foreign concept to youth. Ah, to be young and irresponsible again.

Listen, child, in the workplace, we ALL have to put up with things that we'd rather not. That's the way it is here in the real world. There's a saying, please have someone try to explain it to you:

When you work for someone, it's theirs, not yours.

Sure, I eat well. That comes with being successfullaugh .
Hair loss? Sure, I don't hide it. You, however, might want to invest in moustache wax.laugh Looking like hell? Sure, that comes thru years of hard work to get to where I'm at, not by whining, expecting people to hand me things, and moaning that "My boss doesn't like me"!

By the way, from reading the run-on sentences, misspellings, and lack of puntuation and sentence structure, now that you have free time on your hands, ever thought about taking a remedial English course?

Typical childish response.

I'm really beginning to see why your boss didn't like you.

With a prima-donna attitude like yours, I'm suprised you lasted at your job as long as you didgrumble .

I sooo agree with Knoxman. As the manager of a large hospital lab I often wonder where the professionalism of our youth is?? Many try to justify it by saying our youth has their priorities with their personal life rather than their professional life. I am all for our employees having a fullfilling personal life but they also must learn to balance (as we did) their obligation to their employer that pays them so they can have a personal life!! If we did not need someone to do the job, we would not have hired you. If we did not need you there at a specific time, we would change your hours. JMO

i'm only saying that cause it's true. he looks like a man that has had his fair share of bacon. I would like to see the maturity level of people that are dealt real life situations death, loss of a job, loss of a relationship and just regular hardships in your life that to me creates maturity and excuse the hell out of me for being honest and not care that I'm late for a job that sux when school is my #1 priority and they knew that and used it against me which is pretty ****ty sounds like allsmiles job was understanding, mine unfortunately would give me problems stemming from trying to go to school full time that is where the lateness comes in so that fat bald doc or what eve can stick his stethoscope where the sun don't shine cuz I am mature and one day will make way more money than you doc even on all the doughnuts u bought...hugs and greasy bacon kisses

Have you ever thought of getting a job working nights? Surely you wouldn't be late for that. Just a thought.

My recommendation would be to try and find a job that works better with your school schedule. I am a huge proponent of education and would not want any of my employees to choose between their job, family or education. Just try to be fair to all. Don't obligate yourself to something you cannot do. It is not fair to you or your employer.

Mature,Goldenstar?

Of course. The maturity is just OOZING from your postslaugh !

Child, I've dealt with more hardships in a week than you've probably ever had to deal with in your whole obviously pampered life. Just because Mumsy and Da-Da bent over backwards for you your whole life, that doesn't mean the rest of us have to.

I've seen your type. WAY too many times. The type of self-centered person who thinks tragedy is breaking a nail right before a big date. I'll say it again. GROW UP! No one feels sorry for you. Why this thread wasn't deleted by vote, I'll never know. It's pity/attention seeking at it's very worst.

Oh, well, time for me to quit lecturing the spoiled brat. I've got to go to work. You know, child, the place we all--oops, I meant MOST of us--go to earn(look it up) a paycheck. or, to put in terms you seem to be familiar with:

BRINGING HOME THE BACONlaugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

Goodbye, child. Thanks for providing me with a bit of amusement.
