I'm torn in half by this film. On one hand you have a really well acted story about a blind Vietnam veteran having to move into a gated retirement community, and his strained relationship with his son. Nick Damici, who starred in Stake Land, and played Ray Price in A Cold Day In July, plays the blind vet, and turns in an excellent performance. On the other hand you have a really cheesy monster movie, while I appreciated that they didn't use CGI, the monster effects/suits belonged in a much cheesier movie. The movie is well worth checking out, besides the great setting and performance from Damici. It was nice seeing all of the familiar faces including Ethan Embry, Tom Noonan, Lance Guest (The Last Starfighter, Halloween II), Caitlin O'Heaney (Tales From The Gold Monkey), and Tina Louise.

tonight i watched the new TMNT and to me it sucked!.it would've been good but the CGI characters killed it for me.i prefer the late 80's and early 90's TMNT movies.at least they used actors inside the suits

I wanted to watch The Hobbit but it was sold out. I've settled for Big Hero 6 which btw - a pretty cute pic. Finally an Asian based cartoon since Mulan (about time).

Annie, Hunger Games Mockingjay , and Into the woods

annie was a really cool feel good movie

Mockingjay was a typical hunger games movie, great rebellion movie

and Into the woods was long and a bit on the dark side, but it was a clever collection of kids tales thrown together and slightly altered, with ALOT of singing,,,,
