I get that^^^

I think its the right thing to do to tell someone they are being inappropriate because my hope is that they dont realise that. If they get the message, and stop the offensive behavior, great. If they get the message and continue anyway, at least we know what kind of person they are.

The most unfortunate problem, is that if men dont hear this message from other men, it will continue, because, these sorts, already don't respect women. And without male intervention they likely never will. Thank goodness some step up but its not nearly enough of them.

Men need to stop thinking theyre being nice by not telling another guy he's being rude to women. Its not nice. Its not none of his business. It is exactly what creates the rape culture. sad2

Anytime a man does nothing, he has supported it.

I very much agree ! And it's good these kids (cause usually they are) hear it on a site sometimes...from guys too.

Over here in Belgium some young kids and men actually do it for real (being overly stupid)...specially when you are at a mall and tend to walk a little slower...:

Hi sexy, you want to be my girlfriend ?

Ahh...

I once responded more aggressively and all of a sudden they were 10 insulting me.

That's when patience and politeness are out of the window with me.

Beach glad you brought this up... Many may not know it nor have read the rules that are in the New Members Forums.. That Forum is strictly for members to introduce themselves.. I have seen many times and yes here lately were a new member will post. And many will jump in due to the way they worded the post. Or they will go read their profile and attack them for what they are looking for..

Just remember regardless if they are married or not. It takes two to tango and it never fails they can always find someone that don't care if they are..

Also I have seen several that will make fun of those that misspell words or not put them in the correct order.. Then the popcorn comes out and seems several flock to that thread just to throw in their two cents worth...

I would hate to know that anyone would do that to someone they first met.. I shake my head at times and wonder, how would they react if you meet them in person... More then once I have seen New Members deactivate.. all just because some decided to have a little fun.. it really is pretty sad to watch..

It only takes a few minutes to read what you have typed out before you click on the Post Reply link...What would you think if someone posted that towards you.... How would you feel or take it... Sure many of you would find out, that you would not like it if you were in their place..

I will agree there are many threads that it is hard to resist saying something... Too many forget there is a person behind those typed words and no one knows what they have dealt with.. With this being a international site we are going to run into language issues.. But that does not make it right to totally take over their thread for a few laughs... at someone else expense...whoa whoa

as usual my dear.. well said!! drinker
I was looking for this thread.. I must admit, I've had trouble interacting on the forums for awhile now beCAUSE of the constant bashing.. yeah.. some ARE hilarious.. but in all that generated laughter.. the feelings of the op are lost.. the old adage of 'sticks and stone's...' just doesn't apply to todays society.. personally.. I'd like it better if the bullies (as that's how it reads to me) toned it down a dozen notches or so.. to make it easier to 'mingle' be it for newbies OR oldtimers.. flowerforyou
