Topic: Let's Not Jump On People

I KNOW it's difficult and I have the propensity myself.

My particular pet peeve is the "strait out solicitation" ....like cat calls from construction girders in the forums. Does that work in ANY culture?...but "I" don't know the whole story.

So if people's grammar is a bit unfamiliar, if difficult to read at first, even if they seem a bit brash (but not overtly rude)....givem a break!

...Maybe a bit of patience before you go for the obvious (to you) joke.

I'm checking MYSELF in above statement more than anyone...guilty as charged.
I agree with you beach, but ya gata admit, some that chit be funny as hell though,we don't always mean bad,but chit just be toooo funny sometimes lol!

mmm .. is it still that bad??? I think it was a lot worse about a year ago..
As if people got bored with the regular M2 talk and going for a newbie's jugular was a way to liven things up

Thank god we talk sex and naughty things more often now. Helps a lot

Beach glad you brought this up... Many may not know it nor have read the rules that are in the New Members Forums.. That Forum is strictly for members to introduce themselves.. I have seen many times and yes here lately were a new member will post. And many will jump in due to the way they worded the post. Or they will go read their profile and attack them for what they are looking for..

Just remember regardless if they are married or not. It takes two to tango and it never fails they can always find someone that don't care if they are..

Also I have seen several that will make fun of those that misspell words or not put them in the correct order.. Then the popcorn comes out and seems several flock to that thread just to throw in their two cents worth...

I would hate to know that anyone would do that to someone they first met.. I shake my head at times and wonder, how would they react if you meet them in person... More then once I have seen New Members deactivate.. all just because some decided to have a little fun.. it really is pretty sad to watch..

It only takes a few minutes to read what you have typed out before you click on the Post Reply link...What would you think if someone posted that towards you.... How would you feel or take it... Sure many of you would find out, that you would not like it if you were in their place..

I will agree there are many threads that it is hard to resist saying something... Too many forget there is a person behind those typed words and no one knows what they have dealt with.. With this being a international site we are going to run into language issues.. But that does not make it right to totally take over their thread for a few laughs... at someone else expense...whoa whoa

to a point. its still pg-13.
when folks come on here flat out peddling prostitution, then I will either let them know its not a sex site, or not even bother and just report.

I think there are plenty of folks that talk dirty, or lewd, privately, in messaging, as well they should, if they choose to.

Its just not appropriate in the threads. I dont have a problem with the rules. I dont know why anyone does, since there are actual sex sites they could go to if they dont like it.

Its much better than it was a few years ago. Lots of personal petty attacks on people that had no idea of what was going on. We learn, we grow. If folks can manage to follow the rules its a beautiful world. Yay mods for dealing with us! They really do make it a nice place.

Was not exactly what I meant to say, but I get your point :)

I'm glad he brought it up too and I agree with both of you...I rode that wagon until I got an eye opening letter from a newbie who was on the receiving end of what he said felt like a public hanging...He shared some personal info with me that totally changed the way I respond to new members...I'm not perfect, sometime I let someone have it if they are disrespecting female members...As for spelling and poor grammar, I NEVER indulged in that...This is an international site, it's just plain old common sense to leave that one alone....Also...I remember my first post on here and to this day, I wish I didn't...

While I agree with most of your sentiments, I more find it hard to believe that someone would enter a room in real life and say, "Hai! N E 1 wanna ****?" or "Hai! Will u b mi gf???"

It's a two-way street.

THOSE are the ones I "jump on". It's not a language barrier, it's a cultural one, at best. They wouldn't DREAM of speaking to women in their own country that way, so they come to U.S.-based online *dating* sites and talk that way to the 'loose, whorish' American women.

I respond online the exact same way I would in real life; one can't expect anything else when "keeping it real", which should be a desired quality ESpecially when online.

^^^^^^^^^^yup.
Whether they realize what they are saying, or not,
One of these is often required.
