Ok...so I guess it's true, no one REALLY TRULY wants to find someone near them. I'm sure there are many peeps registered on this site that are located in Indianapolis and/or Indiana, but no one seems to want to "find" others in their locale.
What a shame frustrated frustrated frustrated

I prefer men who live in Indianapolis or near by. I'm here only for dating, and it would take too much planning to date from far away. Besides, who would want to travel long distances just for a date?noway

Just an FYI, Daynene...I have chatted with 2 guys in the last month that put Indianapolis on their profile, then in casual chatting mentioned they were in Greenfield and Carmel. I asked why they said Indy and each of them said "well...metro Indy". So, from now on I usually ask again in intial chatting exactly where they are. LOL

I consider Carmel, Fishers, Beech Grove, and a few others, to be a part of Indy. (Lol) I don't even mind dating from Anderson or Shelbyville, as long as they don't mind making the drive. So I kind of understand those guys saying that. There are people from all of those outlying cities who commute to Indy everyday for work anyway.

What about Greenfield? And I have not seen ONE profile that has been on in the last 30 days. I've sent nudges, matches..... nothing....... so what's wrong with this site that i'm missing????

Hello, HarleyRider. For me, Greenfield is NOT Indy.
I don't think you're doing anything wrong on the site...it just takes time to find peeps. bigsmile

Define "Indy". I"m 15 mins from downtown

Harleyrider......is that 15 minutes by your timing in actual traffic. Or is that what Google, or any other map say?
I dated a guy in Rushville and he kept saying he was only 34 minutes from indy. Yes, from the indy eastern line.
I would like 30 mins or less from door to door.

Actual time it takes to drive. Unless your heading downtown during rush time in the am or away at rush time..... add 5-10 mins depending on when you get to the split area.
I agree, distance is an issue even for me. But i'm willing to give a little to meet the right person. I used to drive to avon every other weekend for a nice lady..... for the record she came to mine the other weekend.
Not wanting to create an argument, just putting my opinion out there.
Have a great day!!!

No, you're not creating an argument. Like you said just stating your opinion.
And with that...this is my opinion. I dated that Rushville guy for 3 years. We (WE, mind you) decided on the every other weekend for one of us getting to the other, but after the first 14 months, it became Me doing ALL the driving. He began making excuses for not being able to drive to my place.
I, myself am willing to make an effort/sacrifice, but for me to do it again, He will HAVE to be really, really patient for me to decide if He's worth it. happy
And yes, dating-to-become-a-longterm-relationship DOES take work, especially at our age with our past and current commitments.

Well, I know if I'm lucky, there may be 15 women in the Greenfield area on dating sites, so I chose to extend my search. I must say that it seems most women agree with you, and do not want to go far from where they are located. Time will tell I suppose.
