Looking at the surveillance video the victim does indeed seem to be pointing a weapon at the officers and the weapon was found at scene.

was very sorry to hear about another death by a police men and op
as u said of those that are rioting are just bring a
lot on them self ... when this person pulled a gun on a officer ... which was wrong no matter what color ... and of course the officer was defending him self ... these city's want to blame office for some just doing their jobs ... and no I am not in agreement with a lot of these deaths by officers ... but my prayers to go out to those officers killed ambushed and murdered in the car ... i have listened and listened to some of all of these victims murdered by police ... and with all of the peaceful in some rioting ... I have come to a conclusion they need to change the laws ... about the frisk and search ... that has to be on a reasonable doubt someone has drugs or weapons... the BS has to stop with these killing that are uncalled for and ending in to many deaths ... and the quotas on how many people need to get arrested or brought up on charges if not something of reasonable to go after give them a ...ticket don't take them down for selling cigs for $50 cents or sleeping on a freakin bench in the park ...move along ..do not touch them ... while just police presents is becoming fearful to people and antagonizing for what they see they are getting away with ... something has to start to calm these cities streets ... and have to work together to start to have a peaceful place to be and live ... don't let these peoples deaths or any other ..just be a no. or quota in your departments ...

I do hate it when people piggy back on legitimate issues and protests

IF there was an armed person who pointed a gun, then a response with a gun was understandable and not protest worthy,,,,,,

these stories are a trend for now,, like I say, piggy backing off of a legitimate concern,,

(possibly to confuse the issue and get people desensitized,,,,shrugs)

ya know what they say, absolute power corrupts absolutely

in too many communities , there is no check and balance and cops are Gods with absolute authority

most places have IA and other ways who attempt oversight and accountability for the police,, but unfortunately there are some places where such departments are a joke and just are going to ALWAYS look after the cop and back them up,,,,

Doesn't matter the color of your skin

Militarize police forces with weapons of war and their desire is to use them..... even when serving warrants for something as simple as parking violations

But civilians can't own them to defend themselves under the color of unjust laws..... even if our Constitution says otherwise

Protect and serve is no longer the motto of our police forces.... it is now shut up and obey..... or die!

Who hasn't seen Captain America: The Winter Soldier yet?

not sure if they do this anymore but heard they actually put a certain culture together to fight in one platoon for wars long ago ... for instance like a group that understood each other language if they did not speak English ... this is what i feel with the tensions around the country between the cultures ... they should only have the culture of cops in a certain district...

then this would all stop and those that did get shot if doing something they shouldn't be doing an possible less flair ups between the people of the same race... then they can not blame or riot that it was a raciest policeman ... I am not saying it is cure all but certainly would make a huge different... sure u could call doing what I say is racist but

I don't see it that way... I see less riots and less death ... then maybe cultures would feel less threatened ... but also still believe they should lay off some of those petty crimes... which seem to get someone killed for hardly nothing...

after seeing this vid and heard more about this story ...
I could not let it go possibly what I might have said before ...
ok first I still believe kids should not play with toy guns in parks or neighborhoods ...becouse the first thing that is done people will call the police knowing nothing ...
ok but not in this case... I heard 911 failed to tell the officers it was a toy gun going to ck the call out ... the vid does show they could not have had anytime to tell that boy hands up before shooting him down or else telling him as they shot him at the same time ... the vid is clear on that ...
but 911 not telling the officers ...huge mistake ...
