Dang dang dang dammit! Must there really be a HUMONGOUS spider in Lord of the Rings??? I am sort of okay handling spiders these days, but there is a limit. If I can't squash it with my clogs, I don't like it!

Full of cold, aching and sneezing.I have a gig tonight too ! Who was it who said 'the show must go on?' frustrated

Oh dear ... Hope you get through it... Maybe it'll help? Lots of sweating and stuff? Good luck!!

Thank you Crystal flowers I was okay once the adrenalin kicked in,but came crashing back to earth with a vengeance after the show haha.
I Googled the saying, apparently it comes from 19th century theatre and circus, but like yourself,it was Freddy who came to mind first

I'm not really a limelight person though, and i really don't like cameras.Just leave me at the back of the stage keeping the ego-maniacs in time laugh

Google to the rescue again ! Today,it means being the centre of attention (so a very apt name for one or two forum users haha). But it comes from the 1820's and is simply a name given to calcium lighting used in theatres.
I'm at the Bar American in Middleburg on Friday, and the Cafe De Reunie,Geleen,on Saturday. A short and sweet visit, but it should be fun

I'm thinking "Will I still have fencing Thursday?" scared
Last night mild storm is getting worse, my fencing gets the full whack, and the storm won't pass till Thursday evening/night, will get worse on Tuesday even. Hot dang it... It basically should be replaced, but I haven't got the money for 13 meters of fencing... Nor the muscles and tools for it.
Had to support it a few months back, as it was about to be ripped to pieces by another serious storm... can't handle much more. Hope the supports (6) I put against it will hold... They put stress on the planks, which are way passed their sell by date.
Dammit, I hate this chit, always creeps me out.

Haha, it's not supporting, I put a spell on it to help keep the fencing up
* I have this sticker on my car that reads "My other car is a broom!!" *
I must say this is just my simple broom, I got a proper one in the garage, as in, I really do happy

In the meantime managed to bang pegs in the ground up against 3 supports, so they can't slide away. Sometime very soon, I will screw the tops in place as well. That should hold for at least 1 or 2 years ... I hope..
And do something decorative with them so it doesn't look too ugly

People use old barn board for fence planks all the time...where you need the integrity is the posts.

I'm not sure what your base is like but typically 3-4 feet in the ground (using sonotube and quick-set concrete) makes a 4x4 post very sturdy.

The tough part is digging the old posts out.

Yes, indeed that would be best... unfortunately neither me nor my neighbour can do that ... So I'll just stick with the supports on my side. They should last at least a year, hopefully 2-3, before they start to rot, lol. My garden is extremely wet during fall/winter. As in sometimes completely flooded, 15-20 cm of water, if not flooded it's like a marsh.
But thank you for your advice!
