age does matter for you restrict the age barrier , you like the younger set as well even if they are older than you but you set the boundaries to exclude the more mature and more experienced lads

I don't. Been there done that. Personally, children under 18 are a turn-off. Just go the friendship route. Real women embrace and accept their age, but some of us want to maintain their independence. Don't push.

Why is it acceptable for older men to go after sweet young things and not the other way around. Thats double standards. C'mon this is the 21st century !!

Older guys are cranky, grumpy, ugly, fussy, expect women to kiss their fat butts and think they are irresistible. I'm speaking from my own personal evolution. LOL

(reluctantly posted since I know women will be flooding my inbox now)

Excuse me, I have to respectfully disagree with you... IMHO no matter what a woman's age is they should have their own independence and they should know their value not being above or below another.

I honestly don't understand WTH "accepting ones age" has anything to do with it. I personally accept my age and I embrace it... I live a very active lifestyle. I don't let my age define me. I let me define me...

I also have dated 20 years younger and my first husband was 24 years older than I was and we had a wonderful marriage til he died. So therefore, to me age is very subjective it is the person and the compatibility of said individuals.

Just had to weigh in on this topic. I have been in and out of the dating scene over the last few years and get frustrated and disgusted from my experiences. But here I am again!

In the past I have had many younger men contact me. I am now 61 years old and have no interest in seeing younger men. I could not understand the attraction and I would tell them that. But since the $$ issue has been brought up here, I understand it a little better. For me it would be like dating my son which would be too weird.

I do like my independence and at this time in my life it is very important to me. I am looking for man around my age who is active in pursuing his own interests and wouldn't depend on me to be with him 24/7. Someone who wouldn't feel insecure about me pursuing my interests. I was married for 23 years and took care of my husband, son as well as my father, mother and brother during the time leading up to their passing. So I am not looking for someone to take care of.

I'm not looking for a man who looks like a body builder. I am looking for a real man who is doing the best he can with what he has to work with. We should all be striving for a healthy lifestyle but some people can get really obsessed with that. Makes them appear to be really shallow. I am more interested in what is in a man's heart than how their abs look.

No that is wrong. I am nicer now I think when younger. I was an arrogant smart *** and used and dumped women left and right. It took me surviving the young years to see I could be a better person and not crush girls feelings. I have stayed single for a long time. Now I could appreciate one good woman. Not a trapline. lol If a older woman can attract younger men, good for her I say.

Think it more about mutual interest, ability to carry on an intelligent conversation, and mutual respect.
