Well, to throw my 2 cents in, unless you've been living in a cave your entire life, everyone, whether they want to admit to it or not, has baggage. That's life, sh!t happens to everyone. But, kids, kids are not baggage in any way, shape or form. It's fine if you don't like kids and don't want kids and don't want to be with someone with kids, that's your preference, but don't ever refer to someone's babies as baggage! That's just heartless.

aight yall,, calm down,, time for me to be the voice of reason. all of the parents on here know that kids are not baggage, they are a blessing in form or the other. all of us know its not easy, never is, but you wouldnt trade one second of it. i know i wouldnt. every late night crying is made into an afterthought just to hear that one little giggle that will make any heart smile, no matter how heavy the heart is.

Well, on second thought, I really wish my son was baggage, he'd be a heck of a lot easier to carry around. Maybe I should just install some wheels and a handle on him laugh laugh

There comes a point where the line of ignorance had to be drawn... she kinda crossed it- whether intentional or not. I'm just sayin...

The only baggage I have on a regular basis are the groceries I lug home because I don't drive... and I lke to eat, so it's worthiwhile baggage.

For some of us, our kids are all we've ever had... MINE saved me from a downward spiral... I was headed in a bad direction til I became pregnant with my son... becoming a mom was the best thing to ever happen to me... in fact, if anyone's baggage, it will be me to my kids... because they are the ones who will have to deal with me in my old age.

new or not new, she had no right calling kids excess baggage!!!!
Lets not make excuses for her, she said something that was way out of line....she should keep talking to her bird. Maybe he'll give her the answers she's looking for....

geeez...come on guys....talk about getting in a flap!

Do YOU see your kids as baggage?

Nope, obviously, by the indignant outrage happening in here.

Then if You don't feel it, why let it affect you?

One person's poor choice of words, well not politically correct, and we ALL LOOOOVE Political Correctness now don't we? And we always follow political correctness to the letter dont we?

Lighten up, and get indignant over something that matters...like how many people in your state will be frrezing this winter cause they are homeless....

and then go do something about it...donate blankets....cans of soups to shelters...

Find something worthy of indignation.

Well, the way I read your question is "why do we have bagage?" The reason we have baggage is because we are not children here and have been thru some things in our lives that have caused us to become parents and....g-d forbid I say this...(Jess--don't get insulted)...adults!! Along with life comes baggage.

George Carlin's stick on "STUFF" comes to mind.
Can't go thru life w/o having STUFF.
