I have a question, why do some men try so hard to marry the girl and then moan about the other half or cheat. women cheat too but im just asking the male point of view.

I know a 3 year old boy who will cry until you give him a certain toy, but then when he get's it and plays with it for a minute he forgets about it and wants to play with a new toy.

Marilyn Monroe sang, "After you get what you want you don't want it.."

The best thing we can do is tease them until marriage (not give them fully everything, like almost but not enough to satisfy them, this is very tricky to master), then we can stop trying because nothing we do will ever make them happy again.

i understand a lot of males act like they are 3 years old

i don't want some one that would tease me ... i would want a lady that gives her all to make it work

Dating is so disrespectful, it's like using someone for some temporary pleasure with no commitment. I can't see the purpose of grown ups dating on a forum, unless they're just bored with their husband/wife. I can see why people would want to be lovers in real life, but not to date, that's childish or else innocent internet fun. Is there something I'm not getting?

what's wrong with you and all these "marriage" threads ? is it that critical ? come on ... it's not the end of the world if you didn't marry !
she is a woman and most women not all dream of the white wedding and the dream never goes away. once we reach a certain age we want to achieve that dream and start the serach. I say I don't want to get married anymore but then some days I catch myself thinking about it and I feel sad that it didn't happen.

numbers of men and women who aren't (and won't) marry are increasing , and they have no problem at all , you can always live with a partner that you love and care about , and whenever you find anything wrong which prevents a normal life and be a source of stress and continuous troubles , you may end this relationship at any given moment without being stuck in a marriage against your physical and mental health just because you can't ask for divorce or because of many legal difficulties !

people have conditioned themselves to want marriage from an early age we play dressing up and getting married games or imagine the "prince charming" its been going on for thousands of years its like its almost like human nature now or something. some people need to be two and marriage seals the deal.

Estelle, you say in your profile that you have never been married.
One has to actually get married before one can have a honeymoon.
So, how would you know what any man is like after a honeymoon?

Seriously, you don't know what all men are like.
No woman knows what all men are like, just as no man knows what all woman are like.

so what your saying is if she didn't "satisfy you" you wouldn't want to marry her? I would think even in this day and age that would be a good thing not to drop your crackers straight away.

Cant help it if I want a woman who wants me as much as I want her. Its what I want. Also no where did I mention a time limit to the dating process or a timetable as to when it were to happen. laugh laugh

How is dating disrespectful? Would you rather a man propose the first time you meet?

When you buy an outfit do you try it on? To check the fit? OR do you trust the tag and buy it?,

Dating can serve many purposes, to get to know someone to see if you're compatible, to see if "tag" is lying, to reveal how one reacts/interacts with their surroundings.....

For example, a date I was on awhile back, my date was EXTREMELY rude to our waitress...She had this "i'm better than her" attitude and needless to say that was a our first and last date...she never understood why, and frankly I didn't care enough to tell her.

Peoples TRUE personalities ultimately come out, sure you can hide them at first "put your best foot forward" but eventually, when the other person needs to move, that other foot steps forward, and you just HOPE it doesn't look like the one in Mr. Deeds...

So the purpose of dating, is to find out what that other figurative foot holds.

I agree 100% with Isaac on this. Well said Sir

Dating is disrespectful? How will you find that future spouse if you never do things together and spend time with each other: i.e. dating?

If you've read the title of this section it says, "DATING and Relationships". Subjects on dating and LTR can be discussed. From your comments it seems you are of the opinion that most men in this forum is a game player here only to find a new piece of meat! At least that's how many of your responses here and elsewhere come across.

This is a forum. As long as people are respectful they can talk about whatever topic they want.

If you have marriage questions then post them as a topic. If you would like a new serious forum section geared toward LTR and/or just marriage than place a request in to the moderators:

http://mingle2.com/welcome/contact_us

But remember this: people are people. Even if there was a "MARRIAGE" section there will always be a little bit of "chit chat". Human nature.

I agree, but respect is sadly missing around here at times....frustrated frustrated frustrated
