If you had a second chance, what would you do over?

anything specific or anything in your whole life?

i can't think of too many things i would have done differently besides
wait a little longer to sober up before i went home from the bar last
time.

I would have not been so hard on my body when i was younger, now i have
2 crushed disks in my back and bad knees. I also shattered the radial
heads in both elbos.

I don't think I'd change a thing. I needed all the screw-ups I've made
so I could learn what not to do wrong again. ;-0 I'm far from perfect
now, but I'm ok with that. The lessons I learned make me who I am. Good
and bad. I learned one thing that's ok. You've got to enjoy your journey
here each day the best you can, because life is too damned short to
sweat the small stuff.

I feel for ya Jay...if I'da gone home a half hour earlier than I did,
when my gut told me to go, I wouldn't have been hit by the drunk driver
that fractured my spine and destroyed two vertebrae.
Lesson learned, when you get that sudden gut feeling that tells you
something, LISTEN TO IT!!!
It actully did save my life that night too tho. I was driving taxi and I
got a call to this one address..when I got there, the way things were
going down, it just didn't feel right. I can't explain it, my gut
reaction was don't pick this one up.
I found out a while later that another cabbie was shot and robbed by a
passenger from that address later that night.

At about 20 to 4 in the morning of that same shift, I got that same
feeling that said to just pack it in and go home 20 minutes early. This
time I didn't listen. I was having a hell of a good night and had over
$500 in my pocket about $450 of it being mine and decided to hell with
it, I'm gonna grab one more. (got greedy I guess) At 4:45 that morning
my life was altered forever.
I'm not paralyzed or need a wheelchair or anything, thank God, but it
still messed up my plans with life lol.
Not lookin for sympathy here cuz I know there's ppl out there a
helluva lot worse off than me, just wanted to give you the background on
a very defining moment in my life. Where 1 bad decision altered it
dramatically.
So yeah, I'd go home early that night if I could do it over lol

If I got a do over, the power to change one thing that happened in my
life... because we all know we cant, I'll go for the gusto and change
who my parents were.

I wouldn't have married who I did, or at least would have left the first
time he pulled a gun on me.

I would have opted for a different mother. Would have to keep my dad
though because my grandpa was the greatest person in the world and would
not risk giving him up.

Sorry, guess that was more than one.

I would have put my family first and my career second!! This is my one
and only very real regret. But the fact is, we DON'T get a second
chance at the things we really would make different.
