Ummm, you need to do some research before you speak. A Sheriff is elected by the people (which Sheriff Joe has been re-elected by and overwhelming majority in every election he has run in). Police Chiefs are appointed by a Mayor and City Council or Board of Supervisors.

You may want to read up on history a little bit there. As soon as they found out who his father was they offered to release him but he refused until EVERY person captured before him was released.

Actually it wasn't McCain's missile that misfired. He was in the plane next to the one that got hit. The missile came from across the flight deck and he risked his life to save another pilot.

So have I, I may not like the guy but I wont attack the military record of a POW. Every prisoner sang like a bird, they were under unbelievable torture. It takes someone with no class to attack a POW because you don't like him politically.

Other POW's and his captors have backed up his claims. Any man who would refuse release under those conditions is a braver man then any of us on here. Again, I don't agree with him politically, he is a sell out and a RINO who knows how to play the game, but he did give a lot for his country before that.

and i've also seen other POW's say he sang like a bird when he got caught, we'll prolly never know the truth though but i think his version of things sounds a little too good to be true. IMO im not saying either of us are right or wrong but i think hes full of it.
