For those of us who feel that humankind rules, this video tells us the brutal truth, the way we have laid our planet to waste in the name of progress.

One day the earth will cleanse itself of what humans have done.

The way things are today will look nothing like what it will be 25,000 years from now.

Are you willing to forego heat in the winter?
Air conditioning in the summer?
Hot and cold running water?
Flush toilets?

Toilet paper?

Humankind

We are much farther down that road than most realize.

"Sustainability" is about the rate of consumption of available resources. Humankind exceeded that point with a population of about 3 billion.

The best indicator of what we are doing to the planet is the condition of the oceans.

Tuna are almost extinct.

The PH balance has changed affecting more marine life than most could imagine.

"The world's oceans are deteriorating more rapidly than scientists had thought due to rising carbon dioxide levels and associated warming, according to a new analysis by European scientists. By many indicators, ocean conditions are even worse than outlined last month by the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's assessment report on the physical effects of global warming, the researchers say. Sinking oxygen levels, which could decline by 1 to 7 percent by 2100, increasing ocean acidification, and overfishing of more than 70 percent of marine fish populations are among the biggest threats to ocean ecosystems, the scientists report in Marine Pollution Bulletin. Mollusks and other sensitive marine organisms are increasingly being found with corroded shells, a result of rising dissolved CO2 concentrations; within 20 to 40 years ocean acidity levels may reach the point where coral reefs are eroded faster than they can regenerate, the review said. Also alarming is the potential release of the powerful greenhouse gas methane from seabed sediments — something the latest U.N. report did not account for, the scientists note.

Just google "the condition of the world's oceans" and you will get ...

" A preliminary report from an international panel of marine experts said that the condition of the world's seas was worsening more quickly than had been predicted.

The scientists, gathered for a workshop at Oxford University, warned that entire ecosystems, such as coral reefs, could be lost in a generation.

Already fish stocks are collapsing, leading to a risk of rising food prices and even starvation in some parts of the world.

The experts blamed the increased amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere for pushing up ocean temperatures, boosting algae so there is less oxygen and increasing acidity of the water.

The conditions are similar to every previous mass extinction event in the Earth's history. "

Study the science.

Everything have begining and ending, including "human kind". Worry not, the end of this old and worn out world is sooner than most people think. Self destruct/divine judgement is inevitable
