exactly

why should the kids

listen to the parents

when society is rewarding those that

break the rules

it takes a village to raise a child (so i have heard)

and if the village does not show

fair and equal praise and punishment

as deserved it is also the villages fault

and those that do not cry out about the injustices

are more to blame than the parent that

is trying to over come the corruption

that has overtaken the society

they may go all the way

but after it was found they

were breaking major rule

they should have lost any

chance for a play-off spot

teaching kids it is ok to cheat is not a good thing

public eye sees no punishment for illegal surveillance

of other teams sideline coaching

There hasn't been a game in the entire history of the NFL where cheating hasn't occured. They have a name for it - it's called a penalty, and they throw a yellow flag when it occurs. If you think what the Patriots did was a "major rule violation" by filming the other teams signals - you know nothing about football. That was not the infraction. If the guy on the sidelines was filming the cheerleaders - the Patriots would have incured the same penalty. Get your facts straight.

What NE did might not be a "major rule violation", but it sure was unethical as Hellgrumble .

My perfect scenario?

NE goes to the Super Bowl undefeated, only to lose to the DALLAS COWBOYS 42-14.happy

I'd LOVE to see the "handshake" that classless ass of a coach NE has would give post-gamelaugh !

oh snap their 13-0 baby yeah. Baltimore was a close call and they could've beaten them if their stupid coach didnt call a time out, it ruined the momentum.

When the Big Meat Hammer(NE DEfense)crush Homo, right after the first quarter. You'll see the true thugs being brought out of grid iron on the John Deere. When Dallas played The Redskins,Romo acted like the spoiled brat, one tear coming down his left eye as the refs said Red skins Didn't score the touch down. I recorded it, I pause it and everyone agrees hes worst then PEEWEE herman.

NFL Fines Belichick, Patriots $750,000 For Spying
Pats To Lose 2008 1st Round Pick If They Make Playoffs
NEW YORK (CBS) ― The NFL has fined New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and the team a total of $750,000 for videotaping an opponent's signals. The team also has been told to forfeit draft choices.

The Pats were caught videotaping the New York Jets' defensive signals during last Sunday's 38-14 win at the Meadowlands.

CBS 2 HD has learned Belichick was hit with a $500,000 fine by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. The team will have to hand over $250,000.

The Patriots will also have to forfeit at least one draft pick in 2008, but that will depend on how they finish this season. If they make the playoffs, they will lose a first-round pick. If they don't make the postseason, they will give up their second-and third-round picks.

Belichick will not be suspended.

"This episode represents a calculated and deliberate attempt to avoid longstanding rules designed to encourage fair play and promote honest competition on the playing field," Goodell said in a letter to the Patriots.

The videotaping came to light after a camera was confiscated from Patriots video assistant Matt Estrella while he was on the Jets' sideline during last Sunday's game at Giants Stadium.

The NFL said the camera was seized before the end of the first quarter and had no impact on the game.

maybe it is not me that has the facts wrong

just a thought

So - the facts of this matter is thus.

The Patriots were caught video taping during the 1st game of the season, before the half, and the tape was confiscated.

Since this event - the NFL has gone out of it's way to assure that the Patriots have not been violating any rules. Even as far as assuring that they were not breaking rules they were not even accused of. (Tampering with sound, etc).

Meanwhile - the Colts pump extra croud noise through their system while the Patriots are on offense - but still couldn't beat them. As a matter of fact - NO ONE HAS BEATEN THEM!
They are poised to become the greatest team in NFL history with the league ASSURING US IT WAS DONE WITHOUT CHEATING! So that no one can come up with any rediculous excuses as to why this team is not the greatest of all time. So if you want to complain about how for the last year previous to this their cheating prevented them from being the greates, now that they can't, they ARE the greatest.

Bet that just makes your day doesn't it! glasses

Nothing to pin on them for this season. Goodell made sure of it! Squeakly clean legitimacy. I'll take that.

Well, since you're the expert - explain how their taping of defensive signals gives them any advantage? Since - I'm sure you know, every team in the NFL changes their signals on a weekly basis.

This is my first post by the way. I am not sure who wrote that first quote, or if he was reffering to the video tapes BUT!

You are allowed to to video tape the other coaches defensive and offensive, hell you can tape whatever you want, IF YOU ARE IN A ROOM WITH 3 WALLS AND A ROOF OVERHEAD!

thats the rule for the NFL.

so the pats videotaped from the sidelines....oh mary mother of god they couuld have done the SAME THING just upstairs. thats why people who said they cheated....well technically sure they did, but i think its more like they BROKE A RULE.

cheating(a): violating accepted standards or rules; "a dirty fighter"; "used foul means to gain power"; "a nasty unsporting serve"; "fined for unsportsmanlike behavior"

Please, no one who knows football think what they did was legitimate cheating. The league only took action so people wouldn't piss and whine about it. Most teams did it (even the Jets in 06) so why all of a sudden is it cheating? You can't even use the signals to get a competitive advantage -_-.
