Is the concept of 'Karma' losing its relevance?

Complex and apparently unpredictable happenings which are highly sensitive to their initial conditions are termed as chaotic systems. Chaotic systems are mathematically deterministic - that is, they follow precise laws but their irregular behaviors appear to be random to a casual observer.
Some chaotic phenomena in the universe are births and deaths of stars, planets, formation of space debris and movement of meteors etc. If we consider our societies, happenings like outbreaks of diseases, growth in populations, heart rhythms, sudden weather changes or even the fluctuations in stock exchange figures may seem to be chaotic. They may not be predictable in the long run, but all have short term predictability.
Now, to an independent observer, our births, lives and deaths are also chaotic. The choices that we make in our lives are based on our thoughts that are molded by an infinite sequence of inheritances of genes from our ancestors and the influence of ever changing surroundings both of which are chaotic phenomena. Also, for any independent system the disorderliness cannot decrease by itself, a thought which is taken from the concept of entropy. Local disorders are fractal images of global ones.
Human lives in the past were relatively simple, secure and predictable. Today, any innocent civilian could be suddenly ripped apart by a concealed bomb or hit by a stray bullet from a sniper or be taken away by the police for interrogation and then tortured to death or get caught in a gang-war of drug cartels or some self proclaimed religious fanatics could kill you just because you belong to a different sect or religious group.

Does this mean, the world is getting more and more chaotic and the words like Destiny or Karma are losing their relevance?

Some oriental religions say, if our Karma is good, our destiny will be good in our next reincarnation...at least this is what Buddha said.

These days you come to see so many innocent people getting brutally killed due to no fault on their part. Does this mean each and every male member in the village who got brutally killed by religions fanatics, actually deserved this because of their past life deeds?

Karma and destiny are not things that can be predicted, nor arethey subject to prediction laws or rules. Your (nonexistent, fractured, inconceivable, and irrelevant) chains of (non) causation doesn't credit your line of thought that karma or destiny have gone on vacation. Those statistical outliers wherehealthy people get hit by buses..... are PROOF that karma and destiny exist. Maybe you think Lance Armstrong is a hero but it turns out he's a cheating lying douchebag. Who saw that coming besides his cheating teammates that dropped the dime on him? Karma. Cause-effect. Evidence trail leads to fines and loss of sponsorship + god knows how many lawsuits. Yet there are no statistics on testicular cancer survivors who are pro cyclists being caught blood doping so there is no law or rule that brought that about it was his decisions and deception that created the situation. Humans don't control karma destiny fate or nature, we are only part of the equation.

Some philosophies / religions subscribe to karma, fate, destiny and the like. Some to heaven, hell and purgatory. Some to everlasting life after death. Some to the idea that there was nothing before birth and nothing comes after death. There are also curses and suffering brought upon the generations due to the sins made by forefathers.

Times of chaos and bloodshed have always come and gone. The global population of humans has steadily/progressively/erratically increased over the past few thousand years despite all the mass killings/epidemics/natural disasters.

Chaos is always present, we simply seek to define order in the midst of it.

hmm I believe there is a mixture of ideals here

the idea of karma, is that what goes around comes around,, to my best understanding

but that doesn't mean that EVERYTHING that comes around is a result of karma,,,

I've always heard about Karma and although I don't know of its Origins I believe that it was a mental concoction created by people like the police/government to aid in making someones own mind play tricks on them whenever they've done bad things to confess to crimes etc. Only reason I thought this was because I remember hearing a story of some guy in coventry who had stabbed 4 people and got away with it. There was no evidence and it was a open case for over 10 years when the guy randomly walked into the police and confessed to stabbing 4 people 10 years ago and i'm guessing this idea of karma played on his mind until he did so. Bad things happen because you make bad choices it is that simple. Is Karma Real? Answer = Jimmy Saville. The only reason I say this is because I know quite a few people who in my opinion aren't worth urinating on when their on fire but when it comes to love, they have the fittest birds, when it comes to luck in games like poker or gambling, they always win. When they jump into a bath of manure they smell like Roses. Life is more a case of who you know and a little bit of what you know. Its also a case of knowing your boundaries and knowing how far you can extend them before someone will catch on. Things only happen because people make them happen. If Karma worked then all bad things would have stopped, technically speaking. Such as the depth that the drugs organisations have gone into. If Karma worked it would've been quashed at first light. Karma is a simple invention to get the mind to play against itself.
