My best dreams are... usually ones of my relationship.. early on !when my boys are young and things were good...Family Holidays...time spent playing games around the dining room table.. romantic evenings with her by the fireplace..

.. my nightmares are.. sometimes of a 20-minute warning of a nuclear warhead heading towards my city and I don't have enough time to get to my boys.... so I have to choose between.. trying to get to them so I can be with them before .. the nuclear bomb hits.. but I know I don't have enough time to even get to them.. so then I am torn between leaving the city and surviving... sometimes I even tried to reach the ex wife.. but I get halfway to her and then come to my senses.. what am i doing let her get incinerated lol so joking about that..

. since I've been watching The Walking Dead.. I have the occasional dream about surviving a zombie apocalypse with my boys.. that's a really scary dream... seeing one of your children get ate by a zombie..tears scared surprised

The dreams I have come with a message
It could be a warning and something that is going to happen.

Not all over them are for or about me.

All of your dreams, or just some?
flowerforyou

Most of them

Oh dear, From the moment my 17 year old was born I had dreams of having to save her, till she was 5 years old. She was always hyper and taking off from me. I felt like I spent the whole night trying to find her and that parental fear only a parents knows of failing to protect was frightening.
So glad she is older and now her boyfriend, friends and I are there to protect her. She grew up and is wonderfully wise now.

I dreamt at 3.00 am the door of my bedroom creaked open and a lifesize jelly like slug with a thousand razor sharp teeth slid across the wooden floor .. Attached itself to my face and body .. Like a scene from alien and started slowly devouring me .. sucking off my skin inch by inch .. I woke in a terrified sweat to the realisation it was just a dream . relieved i reached for my watch to check the time .. 2.59am .. Creepy .. Lmao . No more bedtime reading about slugs ever again . . . Phalic or otherwise rofl rofl

Still glad I do not have nightmares anymore. Yours are creatively creepy too.
I had a friend who kept having the same dream, four times, one after the other that she had to crawl to the clock on the wall.
The fifth time she woke up and was actually crawling on the floor to the clock

The worst dream I have ever had and it lasted for years.. I mean years and through the years it became clearer. When I was young it started out that I was an adult in a bad car wreck. As I got older more and more was revealed. A red car, my youngest son would be driving, a certain gorge. {years later I crossed over the gorge and got physically sick} To this day I won't own a red car and I won't travel in that area in a red car. When I reached past the age I was at in my dream, it went away. I know this sounds really weird and yet I believed if I would have owned a red sports car, and drove or was driven in that area I would have died in a car wreck. Haven't had this dream for almost 15 years now.. I actually had forgotten about til this thread..

The best dream I had, was a year or so after my grandparents passed and I was in deep turmoil. I was torn on the right decision to make. I dreamed I was sitting in their backyard talking to them about my issue later when I a woke I knew I had the dream and it was so surreal since in my dream I was in the present form and they looked exactly how they looked when I saw them on visit about 2 years before they past. I also had the answer on which way to go.

Sometimes I wish I could have that dream again so I could tell them how much they meant to me each and everyday of my life.

Nope and he was my horse...And no red barn.. I know it is weird even though I haven't had that dream for years I still won't do it.

Through the years it became more real down to details just when I posted it I could see the last dream so clearly it was like Iwas there again...

Sometimes I feel like comfort dreams are those who are on the other side who know we need the emotional lift. Over the years I have had several that did not make sense at the time but then I will see a photo of a family elder and it is very clear that they were in in my dream and pressing me to not feel alone or to recognize opportunities or sometimes avoid problems or problem people.

I don't know if a person we love in our dreams is taken away violently to make us move on or not but I think some day in the future a person can finally get the message.

I was so heart broken when my late husband died suddenly and he came to me in dreams that were a comfort for a while but then I had a dream of a ugly argument we never had and it helped me move to the next stage of grief which was anger.

I think many times we suffer loss over time; maybe because the loss is so difficult to process all at one time.

When I was in my 20s I had a recurring dream of a attractive woman with dark curly hair that wanted nothing more than to be with me. The dream felt so real that when I held her in my arms I could actually feel the texture of her clothing. However, no matter how hard I tried I never saw her face. It was like her face was a cloud or dense mist.

As for the scariest dream, when I was 10 or 11 I had a recurring dream that a grim reaper type figure (complete with sickle) was after me. I liken the experience to having lived the Nightmare on Elm St movie because even though I knew it was a dream I could not make myself wake up. None of the psychological tricks people would tell to use would stop him. It got so bad at one point that I was afraid to go to sleep.

Lord, for the first dream, I would give anything to have a dream comforter, what a blessing.
I am so glad I dont have nightmares, your scary dream sounds nasty.

Unfortunately the last time I saw the girl I watch from across an empty parking lot as she was being forced into a white econo van that then sped off out of the lot. I started to run after it but it was gone in an instant, I than fell to my knees and cried out in frustration. It was at this point I sat up in bed and cried out so loud that I woke myself up. Even though she was only a dream a piece of me died that night because I felt like crap for a few weeks after that.

That is such a strange sequence of dreams. Are you having me on? I have never heard anything like that....

I wish I were. There were about 6 or 7 dreams about the girl that I can remember over the span of about 5 years. All the memories of those dream seemed very real and had I not woken up at the end of each one I would have sworn I was really there. I remember wanting to go back into the dream every time I woke up but it never worked.

I had a weird dream several weeks after my first husband died. He said to me, 'lets continue our marriage in the spirit realm. Noone would know.'
I said no as I knew that was a fast track to insanity lol.

What was your the best dream you have ever had?

Or what was the scariest dream you have ever had?

Figuratively speaking:

Dream: As an only daughter, I dream of being able to take care of my parents in person starting next week.
I dream that I actually have convince them to stay with me, so I can pursue my career that I work so hard to achieve where I am now.

Waking up on that dream:
Even in phone conversation - their answer is no. They will not relocate. They dont like the urban life.

Scariest Nightmare: I was too late. When I went home my parents were no longer there. I cant make up to my parents what I have always long to do, since everything was looking up.

Waking up on that nightmare:
I will call them. Ask them if they are okay. And tell them to wait for me.

My first pregnancy.
In my 2nd month, I dreamed , I saw a little girl in an empty room. She was laughing and clapping her hand.I was laughing with her. I woke up.
7 months later , I gave birth to my daughter.

My 2nd pregnancy.
In my 3rd month, I dreamed, I heard a knock at the door. In my dream, I
could see myself opening the door. A little boy standing. I woke up at that moment.
I gave birth to my son ( premature baby)

My 3rd pregnancy.
No dream. But I gave birth prematurely. My son passed away 2 weeks later in the Intensive Care Unit. A week after he passed away, I dreamed I was holding him in my arm. I woke up finding myself sitting on the bed and my arms was just like I was holding a baby. I was crying.

My 4th pregnancy ( my last one)
In my 2nd month, I dreamed,I woke up from my sleep. In my dream, I heard tiny footstep running toward my bedroom. A little girl ran and hugged me. I remembered hugging her and smelling her hair. I woke up, finding myself like I was hugging someone. I could still smell the fragrance of her hair.
I gave birth to my youngest daughter ( premature baby).

My kids are all grown up now.:smile:love love love flowers flowers flowers
But I will never forget these dreams I had.

MY worst nightmare.

I dreamed I was standing at the beach. I remembered , the sand are so white and beautiful. From far, I saw a group of people dancing a traditional Javanese dance. They are wearing the traditional costumes. The men are holding the yellow umbrella for the dancing ladies.

In my dream, their backs were facing me, so I cannot see their faces.

Then all a sudden, they disappeared, I found myself surrounded by so many snakes. I can still remembered the hissings and the sound of the sand as they glides around me. The snakes looked transparent. I was mesmerized.

I woke up, shivering and sweating.
