Brown,

I just noticed your post again - and your comment about wishing you could write well. So, I shall let you into a little secret (no the whole world knows) - I wish I could talk like you guys (well the girls anyway). I am not going to let that stop me from communicating, so bottom line, write what you feel.

Practice makes perfect, if it's from the heart the Lord will bless it.

God bless all,

I JUST WANTED TO SAY THANKS FOR AN ANSWERED PRAYER. I WAS RELEASED FROM PRISON 2 WKS AGO AFTER 8 YRS. FOR THE FIRST TIME I'M FREE FROM A LOT OF THE JUNK I'VE FOR ABOUT 20 YRS. I'M IN A KINDA CHRISTIAN HALFWAY HOUSE, A VERY GOOD PLACE. I'VE MET LOTS OF VERY NICE, SUPPORTIVE, CHRISTIAN PEOPLE. I'M TRYING TO FIT IN IN A WORLD THAT FOR THE MOST PART LOOKS DOWN ON EX-CONS. THANKS TO GOD, THAT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE THE CASE HERE.WHEN PEOPLE ASK AND I TELL THEM WHERE I'VE BEEN IT'S LIKE "OK, NOW LETS MOVE ON". I JUST FEEL SO BLESSED TO BE HERE.

He knows all of the struggles you have dealt with, and he will help you with dealing with it and breaking free of the bondage.....

I THINK THATS ONE THE HARDEST TO DO, FOR ME ANYWAY, THATS GIVE IT TO THE LORD. MAYBE IT'S A MAN THING, GIVING IT TO GOD BUT STILL WANTING TO MAINTAIN SOME LEVEL OF CONTROL. SURRENDER, TOTAL SURRENDER,IS A VERY HARD THING FOR ME TO DO. I'M WORKING ON IT THOUGH.

Cowboy:

It is very hard cowboy and yes it is a man-thing totally. We just had one of the elders in our church talk to the ladies group about a book he just read about "Why Men Don't Go To Church" and most of it was because it just wasn't manly....If you had a section in church that spoke of Fixing a 59 Chevy while asking the Lord to help...well how many men would come to that. lol But have men holding hands and worshipping and hugging each other and praying or signing I think not...giggle.

I think for any human being to give up control is so hard. But I can honestly from the heart tell you that I give everything to him.. From the smallest to the biggest and my life is so blessed for it. Alot of people think hey God doesn't have time for me, or my problems, and that just is not the case. And I know in your walk that even lil by lil you will be able to give things to him, you just have to ask. I will give you another example I was a huge pot smoker and even when I was going to church and a baby Christian. Well one day I gave it to the Lord. I prayed Lord please make it vile in my mouth, every time I take a hit let me get so sick, let my lips no longer want or crave.....and yep you guessed it.....I have never touched it again.

And just keep heading in the direction you are and surround yourself with fellow christians and I promise you amazing things will happen, and you will be coming in here and posting testimony after testimony....

Sorry for the Novel

And I heart ya lil cowboy

Rom 8.

There is no condemnation t them which are in
Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but
after the Spirit.

Here's a question for anyone who cares to offer their input>

"Every Christian would agree that a man's spiritual health is exactly proportional to his love for God." (cs Lewis).

How do you feel about that statement?
Do you agree?
What thoughts come to mind as you read that?

Peace be with You.

"Every Christian would agree that a man's spiritual health is exactly proportional to his love for God."

God wants us to be rooted and established in love (Eph 3:17) - this is the language of health, strength, stability and security. There is nothing healthier, stronger, stable and secure than knowing God's love, and then giving that love to others.

"In love a throne will be established; in faithfulness a man will sit on it one from the house of David-one who in judging seeks justice and speeds the cause of righteousness" - Isaiah 16:5

If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world. (C S Lewis, Mere Christianity)

I really enjoyed that when I first read it. I had felt since I was a child, I was searching for something but did not know what or why. I loved science at school, and went through a period of wondering if I could believe in God and science. For quite some time I have that settled in my heart.

The questions are
Why do you believe in God?, or
What do you think draws people to question if there is a God and who/what is he?

Brothers and Sisters,
I am afraid I have stirred up some controversy in the Current Events Section. Many there are freaking out about Iran, Bush, Iraq, Russia and I spoke up with the guidance of The Holy Spirit about how we should all be focused on the Jewish people and making sure they get all of their "Promised Land" back so that Christ may come again in glory as they take control of the Temple in Jerusalem. I feel that the time is coming close and these people should not be concerned by the distractions made by President Bush, President Putin, and The Chinese and Iran. It is all just a distraction. We Christians should be focused in this time to help the Hebrews, Jews, Isrealites, get what is rightfully theirs and has to be in their possesion before The Lord Jesus Christ can come again. We know this is true. Jesus cannot come until the chosen people have their lands back. I even said that Ariel Sharon was struck down by God, when he gave land on the West Bank of Jerusalem to the Palestinians. It isn't theirs. God gave that land to His chosen people and the Palestinians have no right, whatsoever to that land, as is written in the Old Testament and in Revelations. I hope that you, my brothers and sisters, will stand by me. I have courage and conviction in what I have said, with guidance, and I am not afraid. Our time is coming and I am ready. Peace be with you all.

I shall pray about that one and for the wisdom to know what is right. I place that in God's hands right now.

Good morning everyone,

Jesus died in our place so we could be forgiven. Of all the religions known to humanity, only through Jesus will you see God reaching toward humanity, providing a way for us to have a relationship with him. Jesus proves a divine heart of love, meeting our needs, drawing us to himself. Because of Jesus' death and resurrection, he offers us a new life today. We can be forgiven, fully accepted by God and genuinely loved by God. He says, "I have loved you with an everlasting love, therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you." 11 This is God, in action.

Hi Britty,
I'm up, too. I slept very well last night. I'll join you for tea. PG Tips?

Praise the Lord. PG Tips coming right up.

Wow, isn't it amazing how really the small everyday things that we remember and are fond of, the memory of which can bring an instant smile on our face.

That's one thing try to remember when I think of the world, no matter the country, the beliefs, the craziness, there is something similar in all of us. The majority of the world I believe wants love, peace, happiness, food to eat, a warm place to be, someone to care for and to be cared about. Sadly, there are those who do not know these things, their lives have been so hurt - it is our job to bring them HOPE. Sometims we can reach out to them - but if they are not ready to receive - then we can pray and let the Lord do his work.

God bless you Donnar, I am happy to hear you had a good night's rest. Hope that goes for everyone else reading this today.

"Come to me all you who are heavy laden, and I will give you rest",

Praise the Lord.

Now I am going to drink my tea, shall we.....?

peace to you Donnar, and to everyone who joins us today.

Now, I need to start my day and get to work - I can feel joy though because what I do is for the Lord, and I pray for His guidance.

Thank you God.
