welcome some and twitch.......It such a pleasure to have nice talk amongst Christians without getting questioned, degraded, or told we are crazy......

It amazes me when I do daily devotionals how wise the Lord is to put before you exactly what is needed for that day........Thank you God for being an awesome God.

Love Yet Incomplete

They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather then God. 2 Timothy 3:4

A fathers love to a wayward child is sincere as his love to his obedient child at home, though it is a different kind. God cannot love you as a believer until you are such. ut he loves you as a sinner. And it is this love of His to the unloving and unlovable that affords the sinner his first resting place. Herein is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us.

"I am not satisfied with my repentance," you say. It is well. What should you have thought of yourself had you been satisfied? What pride and self-righteousness would it indicate if you said, "I am satisfied with my repentance-it is of the proper quality and amount." If satisfied with it, what would you do with it? Would you base your peace upon it? Would you pacify you conscience with it? Would you go with it instead of the blood of the Holy God? If not, what do you mean by the desire to be satisfied with repentance before having peace with God?

Heart you all

Debbie

Thanksgiving

Paul, the great apostle, wrote, "give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thes. 5:18 NIV). We thank Him when the sun is shining and when the dark clouds seem to overwhelm us. We thank Him when things are going well and when it's difficult. We praise Him for who He is and thank Him for His goodness in all things.

The psalmist said, "Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the LORD is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations" (Psalms 100:4, 5 NIV). There's something very special when we come into the presence of God with a heart of praise and thanksgiving. He inhabits our praises. He fills a grateful heart with His love and goodness.

The bottom line of a grateful heart is that it recognizes that the very nature of God is one of goodness. He's perfect in His goodness. Even when "bad things" seem to be happening to us, He remains faithful and His goodness isn't hidden. He's still there. And He loves us. When we understand that, we will humbly bow before Him and worship Him. Worship flows from a grateful heart.

Lord, we pray for those who are sick, in need, that they may feel your loving presence.

hi britty

Building the bridge for him
an old man, traveling along highway
came at evening cold and gray,
to a chasm deep and wide.
the old man crossed in the twilight dim,
for the sullen stream held no fears for him.
but he turn when he reach the other side,
and builded a bridge to span the tide.

old man cried a fellow pilgrim near,
your wasting your strength when building here;
your journey will end with the ending day,
and you never again will pass this way.

you have crossed the cham deep ans wide.
why build you a bridge at eventide?
and the builder raised his old gray head:
good friend, on the path I have come , he said
there followeth after me today
a youth whose feet will passs this way.
this stream which has been as naught to me,
to that fair - haired boy may a pitfall be,
he too must come in the twilight dim_
good friend I am building this bridge for him.

Hello someonefyou, good to see you again.

How is everyone this evening, good I hope.

I am thankful for the lovely mild weather we are having on the east coast, so I do not need to put the heat on. It's lovely to see the sunshine.

Great is thy faithfulness
Oh God my father
There is no shadow of turning with thee
Thou changest not
Thy compassions they fail not
As thou hast been
Thou forever will be

Summer and Winter
Springtime and harvest
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join in all nature in manifold witness
To thy great faithfulness
Mercy and love

Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness
Lord unto me
(So Great)

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide
Your strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine with ten thousand aside

Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning
New mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness
Lord unto me

Great is thy Faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning my morning new mercies I see
New mercies I see
All I have needed thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness
(Lord unto...)

meeee mee ee
yeah oh oh oh
Great is Thy faithfulness
(You could've chosen anyone)
Lord to me Your faithfulness
(Oh, you blessed
Oh, you blessed me)
Great is Thy faithfulness
(You gave me everything oh yes you did
That I needed and more that I needed and more)

Repeat x1

(You've been better to me, than i've ever been,
Than I've ever been to myself,
So i'm sayin thank-you, thank-you thank-you)

Great is thy Faithfulness

(Lord I thank-you)

"I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me." Galatians 2:20

These words mean the breaking of my independence with my own hand and surrendering to the supremacy of the Lord Jesus. No one can do this for me, I must do it myself.

The one point to decide is - Will I give up, will I surrender to Jesus Christ, and make no conditions whatever as to how the break comes? I must be broken from my self-realization, and immediately that point is reached, the reality of the supernatural identification takes place at once, and the witness of the Spirit of God is unmistakable - "I have been crucified with Christ."

The passion of Christianity is that I deliberately sign away my own rights and become a bond-slave of Jesus Christ. Until I do that, I do not begin to be a saint.

We get to put the clocks back tonight, so enjoy the extra hour of rest.

Good morning everyone, did you enjoy the extra hour of sleep/rest?

After the storm yesterday, it looks like blue skies and sunshine today on the east coast.

Peter said to Him, ’Lord, why can I not follow You now?’ —John 13:37

There are times when you can’t understand why you cannot do what you want to do. When God brings a time of waiting, be still and wait. This time may come to teach you the meaning of sanctification— to be set apart from sin and made holy— or it may come after the process of sanctification has begun to teach you what service means. If there is doubt -- wait.

You may believe you can clearly see what God’s will is but do not act to quickly on that feeling. If you do, you may cause difficult situations to arise. Wait for God’s timing and He will do it without any heartache or disappointment.

Peter did not wait for God. "I will lay down my life for Your sake." Peter’s statement was honest but ignorant. "Jesus answered him, ’ . . . the rooster shall not crow till you have denied Me three times’ " (John 13:38). He could not follow Jesus because he did not know himself or his own capabilities well enough. Natural devotion will deny Jesus, always falling short of what it means to truly follow Him.

Good Morning fellow coffee house chatters:

Britty: Thanks for all your wonderful words, and for keeping my thread alive and well in His Glorious Name........I so heart you lil lady and I thank you for always lifting us up and for being the loving kind human being that you are....

I was out last night in my front yard just lifting my hands to the Lord, and praising him for all that he does in my life. I just finished and looked out over the beautiful star filled sky.....just then 3 shooting stars blew across the sky in three different directions......I just started to cry....and again thanked God.....for His endless Love, understanding, and peace that he brings to my heart and soul every day of my life.....

Im off right now to go and Worship the King of Kings, The Abba Father. I will be back shortly and to all my new found friends in this thread.......

I love you all very much.....

Debbie

P.S. Passes around fresh coffee and croisants to all in the coffee house.

yummy, thank you feralcat.

How lovely that must have been last evening to see a beautiful star filled sky and 3 shooting stars.

I am hoping in time more people will post inspirational thoughts, verse, or questions about the bible where we can discuss and reach some answers and perhaps the Holy Spirit will teach us new things.

I enjoyed church this morning. I am going to a Universalist Church at the moment because it is convenient for a friend to get to and it's a good half way point for the both of us. More importantly it is good for where he is at at the moment.

God bless, see you again soon. flowerforyou flowerforyou

I have been going to open bible church for the past 13 years....because they are truly my family in every sense of the word.....We learn, we grow, and we spend all of our time together...just not only church time.....We cry together, laugh together, have babies together, get married, etc.

I just got back from my pastors house, they are out of town and I set up a romantic dinner for them both. Including rose pedals that lead them to different clues and the dinner and to the bedroom where I also put rose pedals all over the bed, and a few romantic movies......

This was for pastor appreciation week.......

Love you guys and have a most Blessed evening.

You Sister in Christ

Deb
