Used to scream and panic when there was one of them larger spiders indoors. Now I don't anymore. I mean, fat lot of good that is going to do me. I either take care of them and get the freaky thing outdoors or in the vacuum cleaner, or I'm going to feel jumpy for days, knowing there's a creepy crawler indoors.
So I take care of them myself now. Put one larger one outdoors the other day.
Last year I sat here at night, couldn't sleep, so went downstairs for a smoke. Suddenly this spider came running out from under my desk. Raced right past me. I just sat there, shrugged, and actually had to laugh, cos it was more scared of me than I of it. laugh
And I couldn't be bothered to get the vacuum cleaner upstairs at 4 in the morning, so I let it slide.
I still don't like 'em, but to be honest, the huge cockroaches I had to deal with in Indonesia and Australia were a lot worse!

Now if there's a mouse on the other hand ....

Well to be honest I don't do bugs..snakes or anything like that.. EWWWW.
I am so girly girl when it comes to that stuff..

And I don't care.. I am glad I live in Ak for that reason we don't have big spiders the ones we have are big enough. no snakes, or a lot of other types of bugs.

I do have to laugh when I hear the term girly girl becuase I have been called that a time or two and yet I am so not that way...

We don't really have snakes here, not like in the US or Oz. Never seen one in my life, thank goodness! They'd freak me out too!
Spiders aren't that large, I was talking Dutch large spider. Nothing like what you'd get in Oz and maybe US. We haven't got anything much dangerous here, apart from ppl, lol. No poisonous spiders, hardly any snakes, no scorpions, no wild animals, although the occasional wolf was spotted in the east of the country, having crossed the German border. That was hot news, very unusual. We haven't had wolves for lord knows how long.
So in that sense it's quite safe here.

The best reason for a Dutch girl to be girly and scream, panic and climb on the table is still the mouse. Dang, I seriously hope I never get those indoors as long as I'm alone, haha.

around here it is used to describe a very feminine woman.

some one with no tomboy tendencies

my ex sister in law was a girly girl.

she cringed at dirt and sports and such
but loved all the home maker stuff and traditional female pastimes

This also is the way it is thought of here.

Hi annierooroo hru? Nt sure if we do lol It waz in response to ladys like her friend who use there womanly charmz to get guys to do things for them .

Hi
We are do it yourself type. We have show ponies but even they have to get down and dirty.
Perhaps we missed that in the gene pool
Do you think we need to start acting dumb?
You never know we might find partners that way?
rofl

Lol annie it would be impossible for you to act dumb .If I had a partner like that nothing would ever get done , she'd be acting dumb to get me to do stuff for her and I'd be acting dumb so I didn't have to do it

Or BOTH of you should maybe act dumb. That way no complaints, and you both get what you want out of it :)
