to ask your special someone if they will marry you..?.. we were talking about this at work, how much time should go by.. between the time you meet your special someone and the time you ask them to marry you?.. is there such a thing as too much time ?or too little time?.. so if you were to meet somebody and then five months later, would it be inappropriate to ask them to marry you.. should you wait until you at least lived with them first...? Should you sleep with them first.? Should they at least enter the bathroom right after you !!have just finished destroying it..   ... or perhaps as soon as you feel that they are that for ever after person that you should just simply ask them..? I think you need to wait until you have had at least a couple of good fights. That's when the true colors come out of you both. Only then can you see what you are in for. And I think a healthy relationship comes with a good fight now and again. Marriage was made in heaven but so was thunder and lightning. |

So what have you decided, No1? Are you gonna pop the question even though you only know her for some 4-5 months? Us girls have to know if you are off the market, so we can start searching for the next smooth talking tall bloke with wide shoulders. That might prove somewhat difficult, so you can't really do that to us on such short notice!!  Oh, if it does happen, please have someone film it and stick it on here, YouTube etc!! Might end up more successful than 4 weddings and a funeral! |

I think you need to wait until you have had at least a couple of good fights. That's when the true colors come out of you both. Only then can you see what you are in for. And I think a healthy relationship comes with a good fight now and again. Marriage was made in heaven but so was thunder and lightning. A fight certainly will bring out the nasty in someone I guess I was lucky- married 35 years and maybe had 1 fight early on but that's it! Our kids have never seen us fight cause we didn't I disagree that a healthy relationship has fighting in it.. Best advise I could give in a relationship is Don't hold a grudge. Speak your peace and move on |

Given my current outlook on marriages in the World, I would say Never...
Now I've seen successful marriages but every last one has a strong spiritual foundation... I'm not saying an unbeliever can't have a successful marriage I just haven't seen it proven to me yet. |
