People should be upfront with what they want. U right gal Exactly, that was my point, people should be upfront with what they want, after that we can decide what to do. Yeah, I get that, but you're completely missing the point that "Direct Communication World" is NOT the planet you landed on. That's your problem. There is no where on THIS planet, where saying exactly what you want, results in you getting it. You can accept that or not, it's up to you, but the only difference in your life between accepting it or refusing to, is how many ulcers you'll get while you're complaining. No, you don't have to put up with the clumsy guys you're actually complaining about here. That's not the point either. A jerk is a jerk is a jerk. What I'm trying to get across is, that your PROPOSED SOLUTION to the problem of jerky guys pretending to want relationships when they don't, is impractical in the extreme. A much better solution, and really the only one that most of us eventually come to, is to gradually learn to ferret out, and how to as rapidly as possible draw out the "jerk qualities" in other people, so that you can recognize them and move on more quickly. |

Anyways here is something to laugh a bit...had posted it a lonnnnggg time back...:) A very shy guy goes into a bar and sees a beautiful woman sitting at the bar. After an hour of gathering up his courage he finally goes over to her and asks, tentatively, "Ummmm, would you mind if I chatted with you for a while?" She responds by yelling, at the top of her lungs, "No, I won't sleep with you tonight!" Everyone in the bar is now staring at them. Naturally, the guy is hopelessly and completely embarrassed and he slinks back to his table. After a few minutes, the woman walks over to him and apologizes. She smiles at him and says, "I'm sorry if I embarrassed you. You see, I'm a graduate student in psychology and I'm studying how people respond to embarrassing situations." To which he responds, at the top of his lungs, "What do you mean 200 bucks?" |

I found that more and more people ask for chat in the first message, for a date in the second, and for sex in the 3rd message (all these in less than 5 minutes). Without ask likes, how you feel or why you are in a date website. My panties color or if I'm horny is not in discussion when you are looking for a real date :) If you are looking just sex, you can ask for it, and maybe with luck you can have it. What I'm trying to say is (and need others opinions) be sincere, don't try to go into a lady panties with "I'm looking for my soul mate" if that is not your intention. ;) very well said ! :like: |

While in a job interview and thhey ask "why do you want to work here?" What do you say?
Most likely it isn't direct..I.e "I don't really want to.....you're the 12th interview I've had today..and I just really need a paycheck"...would you get the job?... Why not? you're direct.... Even in the animal world...directness isn't always the case...Peacocks strutting around with their feathers, Bucks(deer) fighting to figure out the alpha...there's a reason they call it the mating 'dance'. It just so happens that the human version of that dance includes dating 'activities' whether that be dinner, movies, an amusement park. The dance's purpose is to close the physical separation between two people to a point that physical intimacy can happen. Think about it guy picks you...you're in a car seperated by a little console in the middle. Takes you to the movies, where you're nowsseparated by just an arm...perhaps leaned into him a little..he may put his arm around you and pull you closer...getting you comfortable being that close. He may kiss you at the end of the night, releasing pair bonding chemicals. Which hopefully makes you want to come back...then eventually you desire to be as close as possible...I.e sex. Everything in life takes a journey, sure the length of the journey can vary...but skipping to the end...is almost always frowned upon. Marathon runner, jumps in a car and runs the last mile....did he win?...nope he cheated..he didn't follow the proper 'steps'. Guys are frowned upom for trying to skip the 'steps' necessary...I.e "hey you're cute, you winked at me, so strip and let's do this!" He skipped the steps and most likely would be slapped |
