So halloween is this week...and I wanted to watch some classic scary movies, like Halloween, and Nightmare on Elm Street, even Friday the 13th. So I goto the video store. Nothing there but Saw 1,2,3,4,5, and however many are out now. And Hellraiser 4 (the worst one ever made).

So I went to a different one. Same thing.

So I was like "well hell, I'll just go buy it than". IT WAS THE SAME AT THE MAJOR STORES! But I did find 50 horror classics for $20 (they are kinda old...like Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff old, but I'm super excited cause it has Vincent Price movies included too, hes the scariest man ever to act IMO).

Sorry, just ranting here. I have never seen a Freddy movie, or a Micheal Myers one. Oh sure, I could buy Halloween 4,5,6, but I wanna see it all from the beginning dangit!

Now if you don't mind, I'm going to watch "Last Man On Earth" with Vincent Price being the last one, and a bunch of monsters trying to eat him. drinker

Price is good...to bad he was around for the better effects and better scripts.

Oh, have you got to see, "House on haunted hill" with Vincent Price? Hey, Allen don't diss the old ones. "Doctor Phibes" is cool, too. I just love Vanavia.

I've seen the old house on Haunted Hill, its 10x better than all the remakes combined. The ending was awesome in it too!

Sassy, if I watch the Hills Have Eyes I'll get grossed out...I tried watching the remake and I got so sick in the first 15 mins that I turned it off. sick

I have been trying to find the movie, "I spit on your grave". I think I have to nerve to watch it now. Freddy is just too damn scary. I thought the Exorcist was funny. When she made her head spin like that she reminded me of my ex.laugh

lol Joyce, I always knew you were tougher than me. I'm just not a gore person. I can do campy horror movies where its so over the top that its funny, but ones where it looks real and theres torcher involved, I can't handle it.

I saw Ju On with subtitles, it was kinda creepy, tho I was more focused on the hot Asian women in the movie to be scared laugh

i hate scary movies---my daughter makes me go with her
i am a nurse so blood and guts are okay..but hate people popping out at you and stuff
always wonder why do the people just shoot the guy and turn their backs on them to leave? i mean do they not know they are coming back. i would chop them into millions of pieces and slowly back out making sure the pieces remained just that!

I agree with Joyce...

I H A T E scary movies, I wind up with nightmares. It's just not worth it. What ever happened to good old fashioned LOVE stores. No one ever gets shot, chopped up and shoved into a bag or raped. The guy ALWAYS gets the girl in the end...I see nothing wrong with that picture

freddy and michael myers are the best.
the movies out now are all gore and not that scary.
older movies are definitely much better than what is out there now.
honestly, does anyone know a movie scarier than the exorcist???
i still to this day cannot watch that movie, see a pic of linda blair or even hear the voice without getting nightmares. im such a weenie, i know. lol

ok, Just finished watching "Last Man on Earth" and its super depressing. Its one more reason why vampires need to be killed, or they will attack humans to make their own race and be like "we are better than you humans!"

Wait...don't cats act like that?
