Sorry to be the agitated bee in the virtual world bonnet here.....and there IS a distinction in between "real life" and the virtual world.

It seems here many like to throw out platitudes trying to be altruistic..

-I just take life one day at a time, with no expectations.
-I don't wait around or act insecurely if someone wrongs me.
-Oh just move on (a personal favorite)

Just one example, (here in the virtual world....and I don't mean just mingle) if I take the time to choose my words carefully, try to paint a picture of the emotions I am trying to convey, am really trying to "connect"......

Sorry, I EXPECT more than....LOL...Haha....<3

I'm with ya Beach. It's discouraging to feel like someone you're trying to connect with [online] doesn't seem to be making an equal effort to engage. Could be many reasons why: Shyness, trouble thinking of things to say, poor typing skills, "multitasking" to name a few. Or... they may just not be that into you. ohwell

Yup, they may not be that into you, sums it all up...for the lack of "connection"....because all else is pretty good....and we know we have it....just saying...

Basically, and I feel Beach is saying this too, I feel life is about being disappointed as well as being rewarded. I can't count the times I have been wronged....which should tell you something....I move on. I won't forget it but I will use it as motivation. The only expectation I have in life is that humans are just that...human....and they will disappoint us as well as surprise us. I do not feel I am owed anything. I do not feel that life is holding me back. I make my own way and that is that.
