I mean it's going to be different between first emailing them vs. first date vs. first few months vs. 5 years into the relationship.

People aren't static absolutes.

They aren't just who they are at any given point in time, immutable, unchanging.

Not to mention, neither am I.

What I am capable of noticing, understanding, conceptualizing, valuing today is going to be different tomorrow, or in 5 years.

As of this particular moment in my life, at this particular time, if I were to meet someone at this exact moment, in this place, the "best character" (i.e. character trait) would be "adventurous" as they'd probably be open to meeting rather than sitting on the internet and chatting.
