Acceptance of reality Unfortunately that is contradictory to Romanticism Because romance is the illusion we place over reality Appreciation may be the best relationship with "what is" Actually, I think you have it exactly backwards. The most romantic ideal there is, happens when a person loves and dedicates themselves to another while looking reality straight in the core. The people who seek a dreamlike romance, and dump each other the instant reality intrudes, are the ones who know nothing of real love. I would say that it is because you like us all deny your illusions, delusions and denials to some degree. The question we need ask our self is not, do we have illusion, delusion and denial. But Is our illusions, delusion and denials helpful or unhelpful to our self and those around us? Our appreciation and acceptance of reality is always through our filters whether we are conscious of them or not. So it is our perception rather than reality that we relate too. So it appears we can't escape romance. But I Still have the romantic notion I can discover more reality which I believe is both a realistic and useful pursuit. Really  As for "real love" that's unreal man  and very desirable |
