Well as far as we know dating sites do lack transparency .Before you bring that word love first it is important to focus on building trust and mutual understanding .Howsoever that's a difficult task to achieve on every dating site. Regardless of what one says there is still some probability as exceptions do exist but to think if you have fallen in love without meeting then you are misjudging from the beginning.Women here are skeptical for lot of abuse and scammers out there and men are impatient. (Am not offending anyone and I believe some good people are there too.) So put it simply if you find someone don't go straight for love but first trust, patience, understanding, friendship and then if possible love can be brought into the play. How ever..as I said earlier if we had so much time we would rather seek a soulmate outside and believe me it is quite a difficult task as a few people here are serious which are shadowed by other insensitive perverts and scammers. The vicious cycle of dating sites go on and on yet we still all are here perhaps that's what they say hope :) Cheer up be patient and my best wishes to all who want to fall in love as gravity cannot be held responsible for......Rest you know better.

Yes of course. Anything can work.

"Falling" isn't the best objective, however. Finding compatibility is.

I agree - to meet someone online takes faith and patience.

It can and does happen.

I was going to reply with some sensible answers until l saw that you got into Leroys boxer shorts within 3 posts of your question!!!

But my answer to you in particular is that you may fall in love, but the guy who's using you for pleasure sure as hell won't!!

Strictly online? No. There can be serious attraction, but you need to really see each other in the flesh to know if there is a real connection.
If it's online contact only, you can build an entire relationship based on air. A figment of your imagination.
You can talk for days, weeks with someone online, feel serious attraction and chemistry, then meet them for real and find you have nothing in common, no chemistry, no click at all.
That's why it's best to not talk online for too long but to meet as soon as possible.
Dating sites can work to find love, but only to use as a means to meet someone in person.

Hey Crystal waving

I know an online couple that has been together "online" for 8 years and going.

She lives in NY and he lives in the UK.

They are exclusive, and use gaming and Skype to spend time together.

I believe they are in love.

No, they don't have to deal with many of the things a traditional couple do, and I agree - much of it is based on fantasy - but I do believe there is some form of love between them.

That being said, it's not for me! I think some confuse lust for love, etc --- but technology has changed what's possible.

I think. flowerforyou

Sure, its possible.

I could start on line but eventually it will have to blossom off line. Face to face

Sure, that sort of thing is possible. But it's still more of a fantasy relationship than a real one. If that's enough for them, that's great.
I would never be able to be satisfied and fulfilled without touch, smell, seeing, tasting, having him around me etc.
I find it hard to not see, feel, smell, touch, taste him for 4 weeks bigsmile If I'd never see him, I'd rather find myself someone else. I'm too tactile, cuddly and sexual, sensual. I need the real deal.
The thought of being exclusive and never really having intimacy... horrible!
To me that's more like an online game you play. Like Second Love, or was it Second Life?
But to each their own. If that's enough for people and makes them happy, who am I to judge.
