Fanta wrote "The things said to jess by spur, while uncalled for, are no worse than posts made on here everyday."

Does that make it okay Fanta? Does that make it any less offensive that bullies choose this kind of behaviour to silence women? To control? To dominate? Shall we ignore abuse in one place because it exists in another?

There was little arguing or debating Jess' posts ... just sexual afronts were designed to offend and shut her up.

That sounds a little like a bully's way to silence people that don't agree with them.

There is no black and white in the issue of illegal immigration ... and such behaviour displayed in this thread only serves to squashes true dialogue and debate.

It was the thread starter himself who started slinging that nonsense and, in effect, derailed his entire thread. This whole thing turns my stomach.

Thing is; we used to have these discussions and get mad and take it all in stride. We got it out and talked it down til we all agreed to disagree. Instead this thing went too far by harrassing Jess. Why? Because she is pretty and it is a ploy to take her down. Remove her dignity. Isn't going to happen though. She is such a strong woman. Never ever is it okay to act in such a way. Not here, not in public, nor at home.

I said the things said to jess were uncalled for, but so were the things said about Americans by a couple of Europeans and other foreigners about Americans!

There are a couple of Europeans on here that dont need to be provoked and deep down it has nothing to do with us or our attitudes. They look for any excuse to dog America, and they do so with their spite hung on their sleeve. Any excuse is reason enough, and if you join them in their slander I will defend my country against you!

I make no apology's for it! When you have agreed once to put your life on the line for your country, those feelings dont just simply go away!

You can ignore the actions and words from your so-called friends all day, but it doesnt take away from the disrespect they have shown.

Like I said, I make no apology, and if you keep it up it can get uglier!!drinker drinker

Fanta,
I hope it doesn't get too lonely down there on the floor, banging your head while you throw a temper tantrum like a child.
Looks like Baby Fanta didn't get what he wanted.

And now, Baby Fanta, you can feel insulted.indifferent

For out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.

I, for one, am an American, attempted to volunteer to join the Army, have many retired veterans in my immediate family, Republicans and Democrats alike, see the desperate need for some type of control when it concerns illegals, also see the desperate need for governmental reform...after all it IS THE GOVERNMENTS job to take care of US citizens, as well as everyone else on earth, moreso even...WOULDN"T YOU SAY? etc.etc.

There is still no excuse for some of that which was said.

And if our goverment truly wanted to stop the illegals, they would find a way. While the common, blue-collar worker suffers, the poloticians STILL have THEIR families Disneyland trips, still have THEIR golf outings, etc. etc.

WAKE UP AMERICA... Pitt's off.

Whatever....this is my country as well. I am as American as you. I just do not have blinders on. Even as American as I am; I still see the government as the one evil we have here that keeps us in turmoil and confuses issues to the point of causing hate, discontent and total confusion. Seperating a people that should otherwise stand together. Which in the case of this America, needs to be changed and reformatted to be the kind of nation that it used to be.
The government of this America is broken, it is sick. The virus needs to be removed, and made whole again. Only then, will we feel better, be better, and regain our repectability. We have become no better than many other places in the world that has so much unrest. Our government officials are corrupt and self serving. Our America is seen by what these politicians do, say, and show the rest of the world. Which right now, is in dire question. By not only other countries, and peoples, but Americans as well. We are in much unrest here in out little country.
To heal we need a place that all can agree on to be the land that we love as well as the place we can call America the Great.
I myself await the chance to prove to the world that we can be that compassionate, caring, helping, wonderful land again.
Until we shake it up and bring them down. Aint gonna happen. We the people need to stand up and fight for America, by Americans for Americans. Our country is in such bad shape that people are fighting over small things when it needs to address the major, not so high on the list things. That by the way, should be first and foremost to us. Fix us first, take care of us, love us. Fix it and begin again.
Why would we be so mad at what others think if it is true what some may say? Truth hurts sometimes. It hurts to step down from that high horse. Our country is broken, I say that again.

What I meant by "fix us first" is not to stop helping others, but to wake up and take charge of our own government and change what is wrong.

Uh... :insert flower gift here for scttr: ... exactly!!

That is what I was saying...perhaps the misplaced modifier led to some confusion...lol...

Surely you do not think that I have blinders on??

I was voicing complaints...lol... not agreements.

My point was the politicians lives are just "peachy" so they could give a rat's arse about the general public's financial plights... no matter what the cause... the fingers are all pointing at everything but the real problem... our elected officials... well, sort of "elected"... farce'

Capitalism at it's finest... kill or be killed... what a shame!
