I was invited by some friends to go see Hillary's America, the new movie by Dinesh D'Souza.

The couple who in invited me are gay and one leans more liberal and the other I'd say he could be considered a moderate Republican.
They also invited a female friend of ours that I would describe as completely non-political, not even an "independent".

So off I went with this pretty diverse group of friends to see this movie on Friday night.
As we got up to the ticket counter the girl told us that it was sold out.
We all looked at each other in disbelief, my friend repeated to the girl what movie we wanted to see just in case she misunderstood us.

My primary residence is in Florida and because it is pretty conservative except in cities like Miami and Jacksonville I MIGHT expect the movie would be popular there.
But right now I am staying at my beach house on the Jersey shore, right in the middle of the bastion of liberal progressives in the great blue state of New Jersey.

To see this "anti Hillary" movie sold out was a big surprise to say the least.
So we tried the next day(Saturday) and you guessed it, sold out again!
We were all busy Sunday so we decided to buy tickets in advance for Monday night.
Monday night came and we arrived to find out it is another sold out show(thank God we purchased in advance).
This really blew me away, Monday night when nobody usually goes out and a movie that has had little to no publicity from the media and in New Jersey no less!

I have to say this movie was fascinating.
Most of the movie was an accurate, well documented history of the Democrat party from it's inception to present day.
Only about the last 25% of the movie was about Bill and Hillary.

I saw people, including my female friend, gasping at the incredibly graphic content of the historical footage shown in this movie.
I'm not sure what the movie is rated, but it is definitely not for children.
At the end, people clapped and cheered, something I have rarely seen in my 50+ years of movie going.

My "liberal" friend was really moved by the whole experience and I think he is now leaning a lot more to the right.
My female friend said,"Trump may be a buffoon but I can't see how anyone could vote for Hillary"
This is a must see movie for anyone who is a history buff and specially recommend it for my black Democrat friends.

Although Donald Trump was never mentioned in the movie, what I take from this whole experience is this.
Because the media has "branded" Trump as a bigot, racist etc., a lot of people in these "polls" will not admit they will vote for him.
But from what I saw in and at the theater over the 3 days, I think he has a lot more support then the media might think.

As more people see this movie(maybe even eventually free before the election)I think it will open a lot more eyes to what is happening in America.

I know a lot of you will criticize my "assumptions" about Trumps support based on a documentary over a few days.
But you have to admit that this is a DOCUMENTARY, which generally do not get much attention or critical acclaim in movie theaters, and how well it's done with little publicity.
It means there are a lot of people interested in this subject and the election.

But don't take my word for it...go see it for yourself.

I agree but this movie is much less about Hillary then the whole corrupt Democrat party and what they really stand for.

Or maybe less support than the media might think.

Could be people realize that there really is no winning with this election, there really is no lesser of 2 evils, just 2 horrible evils, so won't vote at all.

Anything is possible but I doubt this movie is selling out by a bunch of pro-Hillary supporters.

or it could be there are a lot of people who don't like Hilary was

just like there were plenty who didn't like bush

Fahrenheit 911 was a similarly 'packed' enough to win awards even,,,awards as a 'documentary'

and yet bush was still elected a second time

movies, and tv,, are not really much of a reflection of what voters are gonna do,,, in my experience

actual voting polls may be a better indicator

I don't think Fahrenheit 911 was a "documentary", it was mainly based on conjecture about conspiracy theories on the 911 attacks. Also the "awards" were not based on attendance but the obvious bias in Hollywood circles to denigrate Bush.

Hilliary did receive a recent, well deserving award though.

they were both sold as documentary

meaning, in my opinion, someone gets some edited snippets, soundbytes and images

and a narrator 'explains' what they mean,,,

both movies are doing comparably the same

limited opening weekends average 28 grand a theater for Fahrenheit
and 25 grand for hilarys America

No worries there is no wrath on earth that would make me vote for that evil venomous excuse of a human being. The only reason I will vote for Trump is cannot divide my vote to the Green Party or Independent party with any hope success to keep that woman out of office. I think many like me are not participating in the poles for a very good reason.

Too bad Bernie didn't go over to the independent party instead of making a deal with the devil. That would have insured Hillary not getting elected.

One of our illustrious forum users has a blog article on this very topic. Good read too. I'd link it but I don't have the users permission. Maybe that user will come do it.
