Philippines has diverse cultures.
influenced by the Spaniards,Americans and Malays.
The sole Catholic country in Asia and one of the only two(next to Vatican) countries in the world with no divorce.

with 7,107 islands across the nation, beaches, some were even listed as one of the worlds best.

hospitable, resilient, religious and with strong family ties were only few great qualities of the Filipino people.

and yes,am proud to be a Filipina.
anywhere in the world:wink:

Too bad the Southern most Islands has Abu Sayyaf and Muslim terrorists....but I guess we are all dealing with that in one way anotherohwell

I believe it's the right time to have a leader with an iron hand and have strong reinforcement in implementation of the law to instill fear of committing crimes and for the people to become a law abiding citizens. I hope peace and order will be attained and most of all eliminate graft and corruption happy

risky and dangerous to everyone,I might say.no one is spared by these bandits who are directly linked to international terrorists ISIS...

it's just a waste,as Mindanao is a beautiful island rich in natural resources.an ideal tropical island for those who love nature to it's finest....

yes,Condrad he is indeed a strange fellow to rarely patriotic politicians in my land.

the very first president in the history of the Philippine's independent politics who truly works for the Filipino people.

prioritising in serving the ordinary people.
those people who were tagged as the 'margins in the society'

indeed,CHANGE has come.and under Duterte's leadership we are all certain the drought of honest and clean governance for decades has finally ended.

Although I only know what I hear from our great liberal socialist news media here, I agree that you need a strong leader like "The punisher" but he has been accused of many killings without due process. At least give them a quick trial, even if rigged, before putting them to deathglasses

you must be referring to extrajudicial killings?

with all honesty, this has long been existed even from previous administrations.
it wasn't sensationalise much then due to rampant censorship, media blackout strictly implemented.

so I don't understand now why they are making so much noise.
where as no one..none..no innocent lives being abruptly killed with no apparent reason/s.and sudden
lost and gone civilians without traces.

those were currently killed were heartless criminals.
who committed rape,murder etc.etc.
yes,no doubt they are also humans.they have their rights.

but let me ask again.did they ever give that right to their innocent victim/s when they committed the crime?

merely my observation,I find it completely unfair to Duterte itself being accused and magnified into this baseless accusations.

where as he's only fault(if you may call it) is perhaps for
being publicly vocal and fearlessly announcing his war against
criminal offenders.

we Filipinos been clamouring for a decent and honest leadership.
and now it has been served to us...

change has come...

Chicago is dominated by one party system.if I am not mistaken?

where as Phils.is pluriform of multi-party system.
that somehow, consolidation of imposing the law is quite a complex task.

am not a political person so to speak.

in fact, there's merely three political figures in my country that caught my profound interests and attention....

Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos and Rudy Duterte.

and again,to clarify,am a non pro supporter to any of which.

they're just darn 'unique 'in their own respective ways of leadership.
that the majority of the 'margins of the society'benefited up to this very day....

the buttom line..am pro life...pro poor..it's about time for these people to be cuddled up by our government.they deserve equal rights too.

These are sensationalized issues. The criminals were given an ultimatum to surrender in a given period of time, some who were afraid surrendered and I believe they will be given the due process rights to defend themselves. Some did not surrender which could mean they are not afraid to face the consequences of their actions and the possible methods that the government will reinforce in the implementation of the law. The killings have no substantial evidence that it was done by the government for it could be a cover up in order not to divulge the leaders of these perpetrators.
