Good Morning my beautiful people Of M2, your boy is happy today , I feel today will be an awesome day in my city of Philadelphia. Plenty of sun, warm out , & everybody in a great mood here. Okay, let's go into our enter child self for a moment. Do you remember when wrestling was wrestling? Do you remember you & your family taking in a wrestling event that was so magical, so nostalgic it was what makes you a fan today? You hear the crowd roar when your favorite wrestler strutting down the ringside aisle, it was electrifying. The theme music comes on and we went nuts. Sometimes the wrestler would give there signature shades, jewelry, and take pictures for the kids. Legends like Hulk Hogan, Macho Man, Junkyard Dog, Toto Santana, & Bob Backland just to name a few performed great matches. Then Later WrestleMania was created, where you had a series of continuous matches in one night. Then WWF was getting to be larger than life so Vince & some corporate folks expanded not just for wrestling but now into adding woman competitions, Cheesy Storylines, & pay per view events. Now with the next-gen crowd today, fan favorites like Jon Cena, The Undertaker, The Wyatt Family, just to name a few again the new generation may have there moments but us home grown wrestling heads will always love yesterday. So tell me about your best wrestling experience. Was it magic, did you get to meet a wrestler? Are you true to the culture? even better ladies also tell me do you like watching wrestling? Let's get on this one! Spill the beans.

EyeAmYourHost39,

I give another one of my greatest moments. back in the 90's in South Philadelphia area we had an underground wrestling matches on 16th & Jackson streets what was I think the most electrifying wrestling in the game today. Let me explain, we had our own hardcore uncensored wrestling called ECW. Yes ECW started here in Philly. For those who not familiar with ECW well it was an wrestling event that at the time where up coming wrestlers would throw matches but not just any matches but gruesome matches. Like, double table slams, the bamboo stick & thumb tack matches, Bats with barb wired objects and the using fire sometimes in cage matches. When ECW begin to grow large, the corporations started to notice this underground extreme wrestling is now growing viewers from the Philly to the South jersey & even far as Delaware. Then WWE brought ECW & WCW all merged as one wrestling franchise. Even though ECW was brought to WWE, its not the same. Its not hardcore and more. Yeah we had Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, The Sandman, & So On today but when it was underground you got a bang for your buck. I miss those days of going to South Philly to see a hardcore match on a Saturday night along with my male friends and enjoy the quality of ECW.

EyeAmYourHost39,

Another good match I remember that was magical was the very first WrestleMania. When Hulk Hogan & Mr. T was in the ring....OMG I never thought an actor & boxer such as mr.t. & professional wrestler such as Hogan will ever meet. Andre the giant( god rest his soul) and Big John Stud, Tito Santana & Mr Wonderful.....great matches.

When I was a kid, Mid South Wrestling was the big organization here. The Junkyard Dog was my favorite...I remember Kamala, Ted Dibiase, The Freebirds, Cowboy Bill Watts...hell, even ol Jim Ross was an announcer.
I had an older brother who was big into powerlifting at the time and I'd always go the gym with him....and when Mid South had a local event, we'd always see a wrestler or two come into the gym. I remember seeing JYD and Precious Paul Ellering there...even told em hello and they were extremely nice about it.
One time, Skandar Ackbar was there doing bench presses and I laugh at him (to myself lol) because he was only benching 135....didn't say hey to him because he scared me hahaha...good times.
Not into at all nowadays but loved the '90s when the WWE was the WWF. Stone cold was my all time fav...and, like Moe mentioned, the Rock was outstanding...greatest promo guy ever!
Who were your favs from the.....IT DOESNT MATTER WHO YOUR FAVS WERE??!

MasterX,
Good Day, I love the turnbuckle throw as well. wrestling isn't what it used to be anymore. Now it's more about franchising & storylines. Remember the side interviews that wrestler's used to do before a match to warm up a event? wow, what an era!

Hey buddy well I didn't mention the rock due to the fact I think he's considered next-gen, no doubt he's great, I do smell what he's cooking, but nothing greater than golden era of wrestling.

EyeAmYourHost39,

Do anybody remember The Fabulous Moola....I love her she will always be a legend in my heart.

what about the late Chyna(Joanie Lauer). I miss her I wished she would of gotten the help with her addiction. She was strong, pretty, nice body, and sweet. It hurted me to see her on celebrity rehab...no one was there in her family for her. then only showed up on family & friends day was Barry Williams from the Brady Bunch.

EyeAmYourHost39,

I Got one, I good one too, remember the 2 kanes. the first one with the creepy red mask with long hair, the one claimed the undertaker burned his face up as a child. then it was the much sadistic Kane, bald head, one eye, you know the one in the movie " See No Evil" Kane. question, was Paul Bearer really was his father or was that a storyline character?

Adj4u,

Welcome , wow so that's what happen....I notice a while back why they changed to wwf to wwe, I figured it was franchising , you know not just limited to wrestling but other money making events and charity.
