I feeling the outside, but personality defines you, right?

Actions to me define a person...personality is just a part of what they are like~~~whoa

There are some people who are just nice to look at - for whatever reason.

Most people have what they find attractive in another individual.

That being said - I do believe in the cliche' - beauty comes from within.

If someone is ugly on the inside, it eventually shows.

Also agree with TxsGal - actions are the best way to figure out, what a person is really all about.

WHAT WE SEE IS THE PERSONA, THE OUTER SHELL, WHAT WE SEE IS THE RESULT OF A LOT

OF THINGS THAT WE ARE NOT AWARE OF.....THE INTERNAL SCARE,PAIN, AND FEAR A LOT

OF PEOPLE CARRY AROUND WITH THEM EVERYDAY OF THERE LIVES....IF THEY GAVE IT UP

THEY WOULD HAVE NOTHING....I HAVE MET PEOPLE WHO ARE ROUGH ON THE OUTSIDE WHO

ARE REALLY SOFT ON THE INSIDE.......

Physical attraction is the first attraction. That is what your mind registers first. Be it male or female. You see something.. anything.. and it registers as pleasant or not.. that goes for looks as well

But it is not the looks that keep the interest ( maybe short term), it is the inner quality.. inner beauty.. that keeps em coming back for more.

that is what you fall in love with.

In the words of Elton John's Sacrifice.

'Some things look better baby, just passing through'

Thor has a really really good..personality.

For example purposes obviously as I don't know this man personally. But yes he may be beautiful to the eyes, but who knows if he's actually a total prick all through how he talks, acts, or even treats people? So who's to say he's "beautiful" if that were the case. Thus beauty is in the eye of the beholder, what they are looking for when they are looking for beauty.

Cowboy, I agree completely and for the most part - I jest when I use pictures of Thor/Chris Hemsworth. He is eye candy - I don't know him, nor will I ever know him. :)

When looking for an actual mate - my priorities are much different.

I disagree. As long as the wrapper is hot nothing else matters.

Humans are designed to first process one's looks and then their personality. This is really screwed up when it comes to dating sites because the people ugly on the outside are often skipped over because unlike encounters of prior decades, we aren't forced to give a person a chance to speak their minds and display their inner selves or even their subtle body language.

So many people lie and try to claim they are not shallow but it is a very small percentage of this community (especially among women) that don't skim pictures before shopping personalities. That is the problem with the internet, when one is given a million to select from is he/she going to select the ugly girl/guy with the awesome personality or the beautiful girl/guy with the awesome personality. It's not as much of a choice for men as it is women but it can still be difficult to lower one's standards when there is such a selection available at the fingertips.

In such a situation people become objects like those bought at a supermarket and nothing more.
