It depends on what your messages are like. Are you just saying "hi", "how are you" or "I like you", you're not likely to get many responses.

I'm the new kid on the block here so my opinion may not mean much, but, There is life outside of this website and if you are that desperate to get into a relationship, Not many people will write you and they may not have a high opinion of you. I am sure there is someone meant for you, but, like others have said, you have to wait a time and don't sweat it like you are.

And if it is read, the woman at the other end would probably characterise your message as "too good to be true" and discard it. So let's recap. If your message is too simple = discarded. If it is too elaborated = discarded. Conclusion: You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't. So don't waste your time. Don't massage anyone until they message you first. |

It's a little true about the English language thing - and not necessarily because the girl is a grammar Nazi --- the bottom line is - There are a LOT of scammers on free dating sites (no fault to the admin., I can't imagine how they can police such a thing)... So, men and women - I'm sure - look for clues to try and guess if the person sending them a message is real / genuine, or someone looking for financial gain. No offense to those from other countries, but certainly if someone sends me a message claiming to be local but types very broken English - I have to wonder if they are telling me the truth. Since there are so many, most times I just block and move on - I don't even bother to reply. It's my loss if someone was actually sincere, local, etc. |
