God said to Adam and Eve, do not eat of the tree

but the Serpent appealed to their 'feeling' by twisting the words and repackaging them to focus on 'knowledge of good and evil',, and who can argue EVER that knowledge can be anything but desirable?

our 'world' does everything to promote and encourage us to be concerned primarily with flesh, with a minimalistic standard of 'dont harm the body or the possessions', but do anything else that 'feels' good/right

its a flesh centric standard instead of a spirit centered standard

its so much easier to live that way, and so difficult to live with restraint and discipline that supercedes the flesh

I try(emphasis on try) to find tools to evolve in spirit and found the following perception that includes interesting suggestions

interesting reading on the inner struggle between flesh and spirit

God can argue that. It was the serpent, NOT God, who gave us knowledge/ sin.

It certainly is. But it worth it

Yep, people focus on what feels bad to them and what feels good to them, instead of focusing on what the Bible (or any other religious text) says about a topic.

It's such an ancient legend, it's difficult to know if it was ever meant to convey one meaning.

Some people have suggested that the Garden of Eden story was part of an attempt to grapple with the transition of humanity from hunter-gatherer freedom but constant doubt, to the more stable, but much more consistently demanding world of civilisation and agriculture.

And the "knowledge" of the Tree, was how to cultivate (hence the plant/tree reference for knowledge). The "serpent" who lead Eve on, might be the River that Eve recognized could supply the reliable water supply for crops.

Within the various religious sects that follow the Adam and Eve story and use it for more involved outside guidance in moral or behavioral concerns, interpretations have evolved over the millennia in what they say they see in the tale. Some use that notion that Eve was the one who was "seduced," to declare male superiority, amusingly and ironically declaring that males aren't capable of taking responsibility for their own choices. Others have used it as one of a number of attempts to frame human existence as being an entirely subservient one, with justifiable violent punishments (again ironically at the hands of their fellow humans in the NAME of god) being meted out regularly.

Satan is trying to break into the soul and seize it. Satan is strong enemy and does not leave the man unless force him to do what Satan wish. Violation of the devil means violation of fancy (flesh), and only the person who believes in God can resists him.
How to resist the devil?
Pray when you eat food and drink, enter the house and when intercourse
Persevere in prayer and reading the Quran or Bible
Deliberation in matters away from the rush
Seeking forgiveness is powerful weapon against the devil
Anger management dominates the devil
