Wow, New York is on a roll! First after he is arrested for beating the crap out of a suspect to get him to confess they find out that a Police Chief is a rapist and is also the serial killer that Local, State and Federal Law Enforcement have all been hunting for years.

Now this........

well he hasnt been convicted yet

but that is a perfect example of 1 bad apple hurting the rest (if convicted)

there needs to be a dramatic punishment for him if he is found guilty

maybe locked in a portable cell and put in the lobbies of various law enforcement building as a reminder for the rest of the apples to not go bad

but hey what do i know

(could sell shots with water pistols for 4 for a $1 heh gotta pay his way somehow

IF CONVICTED

He may not be convicted yet, but the case against him seems pretty damn strong and they would have to have a VERY strong case in something like this to arrest a cop because of the publicity and the effect it could have on his past cases and possibly having them overturned.

It's nasty propaganda that makes cops jobs harder. Are there bad cops...duhh just like bad doctors, lawyers whatever. But the whining people want to label all cops ask the same. Many good cops have lost theit lives over ignorance. I was there when one of the Dallas cops (recently murdered) went through my city in a funeral procession. Think trash could respect it? Nope. There were people (holding BLM signs) demanding donations. Didn't give it...expect berating. I told them shame on you...blue lives and all lived matter and drove off

They did that crap out here when the Deputy I knew and was friends with got killed last year responding to a Domestic Violence call where a guy was viciously beating his girlfriend. The Deputy was ambushed and shot multiple times. As he was getting shot (he was hit three times) he managed to get seventeen shots off killing the suspect. He saved the lives of the female victim, her children, multiple Deputies. He was also awarded the Carson City Sheriff's Department Medal of Honor, their highest award that has not been awarded to many people in the history of the Department. This man was a true hero in every sense of the word.

I watched the funeral procession for my friend and it was about an hour long. There were representatives from every Police, Fire and EMS (EMT's, Paramedic's Etc.) from as far away as New York and Florida came out to honor him. It was really amazing and spectacular to watch! Have you ever hears heard them do an end of watch call> It's a tear jerker. I will look up and see if I can find the video of the end of watch I will send you the link.

Now, as far as the Black Lives Matter crowd. Some showed up and caused their usual ruckus They have no respect at all, and I can say that he was an honest Police Officer. Not only was he an Officer but he was also United States Marine who served multiple tours overseas in the war on terror and he was also a Volunteer Fire Fighter. When he wasn't on shift at the Sheriff's Department he was on call at the Fire Department.

My bad, good catch

Killer EX Cop should be the title

Do you do any threads on thugs who kill people?( because I have never seen one).. or is it just cops or former cops?

yeah , I just did

occupation does not determine 'thuggery',,,,lol

though people are sometimes adamant that police officers should only be referred to as heroes and revered, whatever they have done,,,

just because they decided to apply to the job

great, Then I look forward to your daily thread on the thug "of the hour" who murders.

Just turn on the news... there's your subject source... great supply

I hope they have secured situations for police that have to go to jail,,,

I don't. I don't like the idea of government rules being applied differently.
It's a system that should be applied equally, not a legal buffet of pick and choose.

Of course I don't believe people in jails or prisons should be allowed to interact with each other.

The whole point of jails and prisons is to ostracize.

Can't live by society's rules? You don't get to live as part of, interact with, society.
Shouldn't be "can't live by this society's rules? Go live in/by another one and then when you come back pollute this one with what you learned from that one made up of all the people that couldn't live by these rules."

Completely off topic, but if you want "rehabilitation" you can't put people in jail or prisons.

It's nasty propaganda that makes cops jobs harder.

it's constantly passing new laws and regulations necessitating arbitrary and inconsistent enforcement that makes cops "jobs" harder.
It's seeing it as a "job" rather than civil service that makes it harder.

But the whining people want to label all cops ask the same.

See? People are always looking for a standard, something that can be applied equally.
They will always find one.
Cops. Whiners. Men. Women. Nice guys. Bad boys. Black people. Muslims. White supremacists. Whatever.

Other than that, it's not too ridiculous to label all cops the same.
Because they're supposed to be.
They all wear the same uniform. Same gadgets. Same cars. Same command structure. They all have the same (or access to the same) training. They are supposed to enforce the law the same way.

All of that is to get people to see them the same way.
The desire is to be able to feel safe and secure enough to trust the uniform, to go up to any cop, easily identified since they're all the same, and ask for help, to see the uniform and feel more secure, a standardized service where you know what to expect.
There aren't supposed to be "good" cops or "bad" cops or individualized cops. Just "cops."

Ask any chain restaurant or grocery store manager. You need to give your customers constant and consistent good customer service.
One bad enough experience, and most people will simply switch to your competitors, go on yelp and give you bad reviews, and never trust any of your other stores whatsoever.
And they'll infect as many people as possible by word of mouth.

The law is McDonald's Corporation. Each cop is an individual franchise.
You get really bad food poisoning at the one on 4th street, you're going to have a bad view of and avoid the other McDonald's on Main, and probably the entire company. What does McDonald's have? Rules that attempt to make every McDonald's pretty much the exact same.

How do you feel about Wal Mart, or China, or outsourced to India customer service phone trees? Hate the company so refuse to shop there? But what about the individual little ol' lady greater?! By labeling all Wal Mart's (or whatever) the same and not shopping there, you aren't helping to pay that lil ol' lady's salary, and ultimately labeling all employees.
No different than labeling all cops the same by ones actions, just coming from a different angle.

Basic human nature.

more death would just be pointless...

Death is usually seen as giving point to life.
Consistency in enforcing the laws generally makes people feel more secure and willing to continue upholding social contracts that make civilization, people living together under a set of rules, possible.
Giving cops that are or become criminals special treatment would be worse than simply applying the law consistently, even if it leads to their death (and there's no guarantee it will).

and that is your opinion ---- you and a lot of others seem to blame
trump for the dnc hacking because of a comment he made about an ILLEGAL
PRIVATE EMAIL SERVER OWNED BY A PRIVATE CITIZEN ---- which has
nothing to do with the
hack of the dnc besides if the dnc had not done the illegal activities
the emails exposed then there wouldn't have been anything to blow the
whistle on about them
