President Trump got to revisit his old roll when he said " your fired " to acting attorney General Sally Yates failing to support the law and being week on security also playing politics . She told justice dept. to not defend the temporary ban on some immigrants coming into the U.S.The job of the AG is to enact procedures to enforce the law, period. Another road block out of the way.

A couple of points about this.

First off, she was an Obama appointee, which Trump had not gotten around to firing until now, so it's hardly surprising that such would be his solution. It's normal to direct that people who work for you, actually work for you. The exception would be, if she had been an official Independent Prosecutor. She was not.

On the other side of things, declaring this to be proof of a "strong and decisive" leader, is a bit of a political statement, and not a factual one. Impatiently jumping to fire someone, especially making a point of doing so angrily, as Trump did, is as much proof of thoughtless impatience, and unwillingness to think anything through, as it is of "decisiveness."

True Decisiveness, involves having a well thought-out plan to begin with, and a detailed and balanced set of principles from which to make appropriate decisions. Trump has continuously demonstrated the opposite of that so far, especially in the case of his sudden ban on certain country's citizens entering the US. Had that ORIGINAL decision been carefully thought out, most of the tumult that resulted from the way it was enforced, would have been avoided.

So yes, firing someone else's appointee who wasn't in support of his goals is a logical move, but it certainly isn't a sign of his being a wise or even a rational leader, particularly in HOW he conducted the firing.
